I just got back from visiting my old neighbourhood and my brother played this song in the car as we left. It felt good to be back where I know I belong, but unfortunately I had to leave again, but this time I got to say a proper goodbye until I can see it again. It’s been almost 2 years since I moved and I still miss my old home so much and haven’t gotten use to my new place like everyone else in my family. I feel like I lost myself. But this song helps the pain a bit 💛
So I *never* talk at school and have absolutely zero friends but idc so there was a talent show and I wanted to show my school that I wasn't just a mute or whatever they call me so I sang this song and they were amazed and I loved that shocked face they all had *best* day of my life and I even gained a friend!

To me this song speaks fucking volumes. It reminds me of all the amazing times I had in my early childhood and during my late elementary years. I know I’m only 15 and haven’t really been through that much but this song really brings me around to my favorite time of the year: Autumn, to the changing of the whole world to the temperature(I live for the cold in the fall) to the beginning of even a new school year, Covid-19 has literally ruined my graduation into high school and listening to this song clears all my stresses, anxiety everything, now here I am opening up to 1k strangers in the comments section of a song about bringing you back to your happy place. Pov: You are outside at night. It was just raining before and the smell of the dried rain on the roads made you calm down and the weather was chilly which made you smile because you have always loved that kind of weather. Only a few street lights were on and a few shops were open and you could see some cars walking by from afar. Sneaking around in alleys and places is your favourite thing to do with your friends. You could see small puddles so you went there and jumped on it and starting jogging feeling the fresh air. It was such a nice feeling to just finally relax and forget about your worries and problems and get away from your stress. Just like that you went home after that physical yet fun walk. When you went home and opened your apartment door, you were surprised to see your friends there. You chuckled and greeted them and so you all had fun the whole night. Drinking coffee at the rooftop with your besties from childhood and just chilling made you so relaxed. That's when you realized how thanful you are to have them and your loved ones in your life. Even just a little moment can bring so much joy to you and make you happy.

I always think every day about how much I wanna leave this seemingly boring city, but I always fail to remember all the memories it holds. The buildings that hid secret encounters and quiet memories of times spent alone. The parking garage that was always empty so me and friends would hang out on top at watch the stars or party to whatever music we felt like listening to. The school which changed my life, the place where I know had I never gone I’d be a different person and would have the misfortune of living life not knowing all the amazing people I’ve met, the people who encourage and inspire me every day. The streets I marched down with the band listening to the crowds cheer as we went by cause we carried the pride of that town with us. The stadium where I witnessed amazing plays and experienced events that made me laugh so much it hurt to smile but I couldn’t stop. The stores I’d run around in with friends, grabbing snacks before a long practice. The bleachers I’d sit in freezing cold or drowning in sweat cause those uniforms didn’t help with any weather. The field where I sat with my favorite people and talked about life and watched beautiful sunsets I won’t get anywhere else. The houses I visited with little worlds of their own inside. The streets I drove down with friends in the middle of the night looking for something, anything. The middle school that ignited my love for music. The city that taught me to be bold, and spontaneous, and patient. I still find this place boring and empty, but the more I think the more I know I’ll miss it when I’m gone.

This keeps coming on the radio and I constantly forget to look up the lyrics to find it on youtube. I always recall the song as Im hearing it, but the moments its over I feel weird as if that song didnt exist and that moment I just had didny happen, and I forget everything about the song.
Not even remembering the lyrics, name of song, or how it goes, I did this time remember the word "city" in it, and found this by googling "song with the word city".
