I just spent 5 days with Axis "support," trying to figure out how to make the Axis Camera Companion go to "live view." It was and still is stuck in "overview" with no live views available. I need help before all this setup!!! I live out in the country and only have ATT DSL, nothing can be conne cted to a land line cable. I only have .86 internet speed. Do I need a modem? Do I need a router? How do I set up the router to the camera?
quick question, do you know if something else beside port forwarding is necessary on ATT router NVG510 ? I did the port forward and linking it to the camera IP, still not access from outside from public ip
I followed these instructions to the letter & I now can not access my product at all neither over the LAN or Web! The IP Utility does not work as it will not reassign the IP address despite being on the latest firmware & using the correct version 2 of the utility. If I reset my camera & go back into the Management Utility to reset to factory default settings it now wont even allow me to do that and comes up with a credentials error. Axis are not user friendly or plug and play thats for sure!
Have you tried Camcloud to setup up cloud storage? I'm wondering if this is a also a good solution, they have plug and play with them using the MAC and OAK that comes with the camera. Have you tried it? Looking for reviews. This is the site www.camcloud.com.

how is that the DNS was updated so fast that you access the camera over internet so fast? it says and it take normally minutes or hours to be updated
