As a first batch owner of Tiago.EV XZ+ Tech Lux, I would like to say over the 22000km I have driven this vehicle, I am very satisfied. In my state post subsidy the price difference was just Rs.2,00,000, and for that I get extra features (leather seats, auto lights and wipers, keyless entry with push button start, cruise control, connected car tech vs the ICE AMT Top end variant), and better power and smoother drive experience. I have recovered the price difference in a year, and would also recommend other to consider this car seriously if the use case is purely city scenarios. If given a choice, I would have upgraded to a Punch LR looking at current prices. Also new features like reverse parking sensors and auto dimming mirror have been added in the 2024 model. I have been very satisfied with the reliability and service experience, although fit and finish could have been better.
Bought tata tiago ev around 60 days ago. Was very happy with my decision until last week. This was when abruptly one day the car gave an error "HV critical alert" and didn't start. As soon as I googled the error I was surprised to see numerous articles, complaints, issues raised by tiago ev owners. I was completely shocked as it was highlighted by multiple owners that they got this error numerous times and some were even strangled in the middle of the road due to this issue as the car just won't start. My experience with the RSA is another nightmare which I won't mention here. My car is still at the dealership since last 3 days with no clear timelines or resolution informed to me yet. Wanted to highlight this to make the potential buyers aware of this issue as I wasn't aware of the same myself when I decided. Would this have been a deal breaker for me? 100% yes! I am not trying to influence anyone's decision, just want everyone to google the term "HV critical alert tiago" and you'll know for yourself.
Its a rare issue which is covered under warranty . But the issue occurs enough that it gets mentioned is a red flag itself. Still more of a minor inconvenience than a big deal breaker as this issue is not universally applicable on all tata evs
@@heeman9 yes right, I do have a motive here. To make everyone aware of this issue. To help everyone make an informed decision. I faced this problem, I wrote multiple emails to tata, called countless representatives, and got no solution. That's when i decided to highlight this to everyone. I have no doubt that it's a great car, one that I still prefer over my other petrol/diesel car. But you never invest only in a car when you buy a vehicle, you invest in a brand, you invest for future support. And that was missing in my entire experience. I was able to identify the issue later on (rodents chewing off an exposed wire under the car, which btw has happened twice now). Tata said they'll not be able to do anything about it and it's a common issue in their EVs. I myself covered the entire exposed wire myself at my own cost (will recommend everyone to do that, black exposed wire). Never faced any issue post that but the trust in the brand might not revive now ever.
Appreciate u sharing the experience. How much did the repair cost you? I'm thinking of buying it. Would've consider other options if there were any for this price point. Comet doesn't make sense due to its factor.
Bought the tata tiago ev 1 year back, have done 21,000 km , no problem so far . I get 220-250 kms driving in my hilly and mountainous state of Meghalaya. Ev's are perfect for hills . 👍 like the car so far.
Nice crisp review. Though I own petrol tiago'17 model yet I love to drive it. Quick especially in 3th and 4th gear, and easy to drive. Mileage is also decent in city giving 15-16 kmpl. Wish to buy punch ev in future.

Will Tata bring tiago on acti.ev platform ? What is the current Punch to Nexon to Tiago ratio in terms of EV sales ? Who is the buyer's favourite ? Current trend in 2024 EV sales worldwide is on downfall, plz ask Tata team about it. There will be rise of hybrids according to Japanese Oems, scarcity of rare earth elements is one of the reason. What do you guys think ? Tata Mahindra do not have any strong hybrid yet. Are they working on it ? Or Indian OEMs are clearly avoiding hybrid route ?
