I use repositional tape for the intricate punches...the tape only sticks to the paper, not the holes. You can still move things around after you push things down, but it does eventually become permanent, like the regular tape. Most all punches will have some oil on them from the production line. CM suggests punching "other" paper a few times before punching scrapbook paper. I use printer paper or junk mail. And definitely count each page, so a double page layout is two.

I love this layout! I'm going to try it with Christmas papers. Oh, and I count a two page layout as 2 pages.

How many pages do you put in an album? 2.5-3 packs is standard, depending on how many layers your pages have.
