Thanks for the video review, I can definitely see where it could come in handy around the shop, anyway with your beer and ashtray there I couldn't quit thinking the starfoam was a brick of cocaine 😂, 👍
The momentary on switch is a safety feature. By defeating it with the velcro strap, you have created a fire hazard. Eventually, all the metal parts are going to heat up thru conduction and melt the plastic handles.
It seems to have a limit switch that cuts it off at 600 degrees. That's at the max power setting, which I don't really use it at. I just use the strap during the warm-up period, so I don't have to stand there holding it.
It feels cheap because it IS cheap. I have the plainer version and it works great. Great value for the money.
Agreed. Wouldn't give it up, it does what it's supposed to.
Yeah you didn’t hear that wrong, he said “hot wife” in the beginning of the video
I think you guys are hearing things that aren't there. I didn't say that, certainly not multiple times throughout the video..
@@ballinatorits a joke😂

You're welcome. LOL.

Nice. Thanks for watching!
makes hot knifing hash a breeze! 😅
LOL!
I have the same one, this hot knife heating element gives out quickly I’ve returned mine four times.
Uh, oh. Mine's been OK so far, but I've only used it to cut some insulation board. Thanks for the info!
So weird. So very, very weird.
Thanks!

What something from harbor freight being cheap!! About the only thing at harbor freight that isn't a joke are predator engines
Curious if it would work on those black floor mats they sell.
I have some scraps from one that I made into a drawer liner. I'll try cutting it with the hotknife later this afternoon and report back.
@scottbrewton2214 - it melts through them, but it releases some noxious fumes. Do NOT recommend...

@@ballinator thanks for the feedback!
I’m happy with my hot wife too…
It took over 900 views before someone picked up on that. Thanks!
Think that could cut thru a plastic 5 gal bucket?
@nickl8192 I think it would melt through, but PVC releases some toxic gasses when burned, so I wouldn't recommend it.
5:30... "Not for rectal use." 🙃 what the ouch

Yeah, the “normal” is the small one… 😝😉
Thanks for noticing. I was wondering when someone would catch that..
@@ballinator hard to take a guy seriously that doesn't know what Celsius is or even how to swap the display screen
@mavrik9475 I can tell you're new to this channel. The Metric vs "Normal" gag has been going on for a while.
I just bought one for 11$
Good deal.
Weird!!!!
Yup.
