Now THAT was storytelling. All these years of Jawnny saying he hates the overdrive only for him to use it against Chris Danger. Perfect booking from New Legacy, can’t wait to see it at DPW when Evil Uno does it to Jawnny for the title
The emotion, the drive, the desperation, a man and a move that have always hated each other…. But when the man is in desperate times. He calls on the last person he’d call. And it answered….
@@toypikachutheoctoling6029 That would be FREAKING HILARIOUS if that actually happened! I thought I was the only one who took notice of how Denkops liked to spam that same combination even on his MyRise series... not to mention the running superkick too.
@@pottsie_era i think that this move is too fake the wrestler who take the bump is just here standing on his feet waiting with his 2 arms in front of him , and the fact that it start from the back just for the guy who does the move not even twist the arm . @@d.o.a9236 The killswitch actually traps your arms in a hook position that locks up your shoulders if you try to move your arms so you're not really just standing there taking the move. Having your arms trapped and falling flat on your face and ribs is definitely finisher worthy. The killswitch is basically a modified pedigree except the pedigree is easier to get out of. As for your argument of the opponent sitting there waiting, you could say the same for any top rope dive or most finishers actually. 619 (waiting on the ropes), Moonsault, Swanton, 630, Frog Splash, Sweet Chin Music from the corner, Pedigree, Coup De Grace, and hundreds more is the opponent just waiting for the move to hit. It's wrestling, it isn't supposed to make sense or be realistic.
Adding a get up button was so stupid, even if it takes signature bars. Do they really think players have such little patience? Edit: on a second thought, with how much some people complain over simulation gameplay, I can see how 2K reached that conclusion.
It gives you a good choice of options, Lose a momentum bar to get up instantly or try your luck reversing their next wave of attacks. It's the same as the kip up ability that we had in previous games but it's just moved to a different spot and no longer a payback.
@@TripleFourSC but the kip up payback took longer to charge and only would only be used by the wrestlers that had it assigned. Now anyone can do it and it's way more frequent.
@@vinicius100470 It adds some realism while also being arcadey. Like i said, it's a choice to lose a bar or to just take your chances. Atleast you can't do it while stunned so you can never no sell a finisher. Having it as a payback sucked because you couldn't have any of the other things you would want someone to have and it was barely used at all in past games because of that and it felt worthless in past games but now it actually lets you get the upper hand because it's not just a kip up, if you time it right it's also a possum pin or possum attack and it works really well. Too bad the controls don't tell you anything about those features.

Because of a $2000 donation recently, Evil Uno 😈 has to do the overdrive at some point
Jawnny truly finished the story.
Into Overdrive.
that finisher reversal after all the failed attempts had me rolling
I like how this match alone was such a long drawn-out rollercoaster of emotions, reversals, and no-sells that it gets its own Highlights video
01:46 This shit is doubly funny if you're a regular DenkOps viewer, he ALWAYS uses Philly Special lmao
Could we say Jawnnys hatred for Chris went into... Overdrive
🤣
Johnny's Overdrive is like a double edge attack. He takes damage every time he uses it

7:00 JBL vs Walter! I like to call that match 'The Spud Diet', because those two men are getting nothing but potatoes!
Since Jawnny finally pulled off the Overdrive it's natural now for him to finally get that Philly Street Fight with Philly771.
Best 1 on 1 ever! Haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Thanks fellas.
Amazing storytelling between Mr Chris Danger and Mr Johnny Blud!

Missed the opportunity to have Chris Danger hold up a picture of Scott Hall like Booker T did in the street fight against double J
They should have tested if the moves actually connect before releasing the game IMO.
With how much crashing there is, I don't think they tested much.
When Jawwny did the overdrive I lost my mind
