I have a three year old lychee plant grown from seed.It is in a big pot.I an in Goa.Will my plant give fruit.What must I do.
Bhai apse ek request hai ki ap apne channel pe (GREENKOTHI) ka prachar n karen kiyunki maine inse 6plant alag alag tarah ke purchase kiya jiska payment 11/09/2022 ko kar diya. Mujhe usne kaha k 12.09/2022 ko plant dispatch hojayega uske bad bola k 19/09/2022ko dispatch hoga ab bol raha hai ki 22/09/2022 ko dispatch karega.
I am sure k wo date bhi fail hi hoga.

I started lichi plant from seed, was excited to see in shaping up to a 7-8” plant, when I started the plant, I used a small yoghurt cup to self water it underneath, it was producing leaves pretty fast, since I potted in a bigger pot it is producing leaves slowly!(Maryland)
The reason must be poor soil or too much moisture in roots caused by over watering. Water only when top one inch of the soil feels dry to touch. Trim the branches in March to start new growth
The 2nd method is relatively easy, i have tried and succeeded

The reason must be left curl virus caused by whitefly attack. Unfortunately there is no treatment of this virus. Just cut all the infected leaves and growing tips. If new leave also grow curly, uproot the plant and destroy it or it will infect other plants.

Seed grown plant will take many years to start fruiting. You should buy grafted plant or do grafting in seed grown plant

Depends on growing conditions and weather and age of grafted plant. Usually you will get fruits within 1-3 years

My one month lytchee plants leaf tips are turning brown slowly, do I need to worry and what steps should I take pls suggest.
I have the same issue when I put to much water or if the water does not drain good enough. I am by no stretch of imagination an expert, but in my case it looks as if the tree is growing fine even if I have at times does brown leafs. They fall eventually and others are taking their place
