The Amritsar Vlog is about my 2 day visit to the holy city of Amritsar where we covered the most beautiful gurudwara Golden Temple also called Harmandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib. We also covered Wagah Border which was closed for tourists at the time due to COVID. But we still covered it from the outside. And some delicious authentic Punjabi food at the famous dhabas of Amritsar.
Distance and Transportation
Amritsar is about 4 hours away from Chandigarh Airport and 2.5 hours from Ludhiana. You can travel to Amritsar golden temple by car or bus from Chandigarh.
Golden Temple is the most beautiful and famous sight in Amritsar. In this Vlog i have covered
Amritsar Golden Temple, Golden Temple Complex and Market - You can buy souvenirs, Fulkari, punjabi juttis, papads and a lot more here.
Wagah Border which is about 25 kms from the city centre
Dhabas
Kesar da Dhaba - Best Punjabi authentic food made in desi ghee. Must try - Dal, Palak Paneer, bhartha, chole and lacha parantha and lassi.
Kulcha Land - Amritsari kulche chole. Bhalwan da dhaba is best for kulche chole but it was closed in the afternoon when we reached.
Kale da dhaba - Rajma Chawal and kadhi chawal made in desi ghee (Lorence Road)
P.S - Jallianwala Bagh was closed for renovation

Is kesar ka dhaba is walking distance from golden temple or far place?
Yes, you can walk to the golden temple from Kesar da dhaba..roads are narrow so it’s best to walk only. It will take about 15 mins.

Wagah border was closed in February. I don’t know about the status now. 😊😊
