A trio of Chesterfield County Sheriff’s deputies walked into the county jail to surrender to S.C. Law Enforcement Division agents. The men had been under state investigation for nearly one week. The real question is; has the SC Dept. of Public Safety been notified of their termination for cause. They run the academy and they keep track of who is still certified. If they were fired for this I would expect that they got a negative report sent to the academy and were therefore no longer certified. The presence of a police vehicle in the man's yard more than a few hours after his dismissal would indicate that maybe the Chesterfield Sheriff's office is trying to keep this man employable in law enforcement in the state of SC.
The scheduling excuse for the vehicle remaining in the man's yard is ludicrous. There was no opportunity for two deputies to go pick up the car? As someone from the sate once said about such goings-on, "Just how stupid do they think we are?"

At the most fundamental level, who would like to be a stalking predator all day long, to put people in a gage, ruin people's lives, and get paid for it! What other job can you get with only a high school diploma or GED and make over $70,000.00 yearly? The only requirement is the ability to read- comprehension is optional! This is a perfect example as to why the police, in general, need more not less funding. It is precisely because they are underfunded that they are forced to hire both the dumbest amongst us as well as those with limited training. I'm not saying that all police are stupid and undertrained. That is far from the truth. What I am saying is that better funded policing provides for better people with better training.

When you hire bullied kids as tyrants, what do you expect ?
Is it any wonder why we dont listen to them or care when they are unalived ?
    Shouldn't be at this point.

I wonder if they wanted to be caught and fired with pay or if they are really that stupid. Hire someone with an education already. Thanks for airing this.

Just my intuition,.. but I would check to see, if other events occurred away from the locations reported to have dead bodies, at or around the same timeframe.
the number one reason for "throwing smoke" is to provide cover for something else. Doing it for kicks does not make sense. there had to be a reward for the risk.

I can understand someone wanting to make a prank call, I did it as a kid in the 80's but, to be a cop, and make calls regarding dead bodies is just stupid.
