it sucks you left. I hope you continue to do more projects. this album has been one of my favorite since it came out. super awesome to see these played through but still sucks under the circumstances. i know this way after the departure but if this is as close as i'll ever come to seeing it live with you playing it again, i'll take it.
That video is like seeing a normally inscrutable alchemical reaction unfold before your eyes on the molecular level. How in hell could anyone replace you!? Please make some isolated virus killing music with the defenestrator and oncewitz.
No, it's all on the lowest (in this case tuned to C) string, and the third from lowest (D). I'm moving around a major 7th interval, while bending only the lowest string to give it that seasick/rubberband feel.
This is that kind of music that seems made up on the spot but is probably very structured, probably played the same every time, and sounds like it's not respecting common time signatures. Might even be in free time, like old medieval church music.
Hey Chris. This will be forever awesome.
So incredible to see this actually being played.
Thanks for uploading. You would be the #1 pop hit sensation in a perfect world.
A year later, these videos still make me want to itch to get home from work so I can practice.
thanks for listening!
Listening to this without seeing how to play it feels like the guitar is being tortured 😂 love it so much
Hi Chris, I love your playing man!! Great stuff! Synchromysticism is a brilliant album, it melts my mind!

it's all for the best! i have a new band, Terms, and Yowie lives on with two great new guitarists. win/win!
@@voerking listening to the 2023 album and I’m instantly a fan. Can’t wait to see you guys on the road at some point.
Its a shame you all couldnt stay together I think you all had something special going on!
You're a fantastic player, but all I can think while watching this (as a working luthier) is holy fret wear batman!
Much respect.
wapisímo !

thanks! i am working on music with some different, but equally talented, people.
Are you using a volume pedal to control the dynamics in that first part or are you just that good at picking?
i used a volume pedal.
Cool!!!!
Very Cool! I just recently discovered Yowie. What tuning are you using? Thanks, man!
CGDGCD
@@voerking I tried the tuning out, It is like an open Csus2 and Gsus4, simple but pretty genius if you ask me.
Phenomenal! What's the story behind this tuning?
not much of a story...i tried a few different tunings when i joined Yowie & this one (CGDGCD) worked for me.
Hi there, at 1:40 is those chords just using the top two strings? (Also, what chord would that be?)

@@voerking cool, thanks!

A shame you left the band.
