Well done young gun love the passion need more fellas like urself getting into the industry, there is plenty of coin to be made if ur a good operator. Employers respect and pay if you have the can do energy.
I'm a couple years older than you and grew up around trucks with my dad being a driver, and my family being in business in the industry for 75 years. I learnt how to back up semis, drop trailers, float a road ranger, etc, before i could get a car licence and all I wanted to do was drive trucks. I was supposed to get my HR, but I lost my job at the start of the pandemic and my old man retired so i lost my passion for trucks. I'm still in the industry as a forklift driver, and I've been watching alot of truck vids on UA-cam this last year including yours. I regret not getting it when i could as i would be on a MC licence by now, but I am starting to get my spark back. Hopefully some time in the new year I'll be in a rigid.
G'day Noah, 40 years in the trucking industry in Melbourne. My oldest son 25 years old Transport Manager managing 100 plus drivers my youngest forklift driver. They were lucky that there dad got them into industry as soon as finished high school. Highly recommend the Transport Industry now my eldest studying at RMIT logistic & warehouse get his Master's Degree. Both earning over 6 figures & there mates are freaking out. Stick at it big rewards in the long run. Cheers Louis Kats a Wharf Rat
Driving a B Double in Melbourne!! Have enough trouble in a Mercedes Vito van… lol Great video mate, I enjoy trucking content, The Homeless trucky is another great watch.
I'm 24, just got my HR. Landed a job with a Coach company, getting some experience, burning off the time before I can go for my HC and then im full sending it. Love the channel bro
Hahah thanks man I remember the rigid days just gotta grind thru it 😅 it’s good experience for when you actually jump in the bigger gear. I still visit my old rigid customer sights however now in a semi or double and some of the sights are a bit how ya going 😅
Ahahaha, I'm 20, in uni, unload for maccas and interested in the industry due to the chats with the Martin Brower drivers. Very similar experience so far, hope I can end up like you one day mate. Great vid.
Doin Noah, what you say is very true and very smart not mentioning too much 😉 hours get ya hey? I’m a tip rat here in Sydney driving walking floors for the past 2yrs, I’m 30 but I feel 50 😂 keen to keep an eye on the channel man good stuff 👍🏼
Hey mate, yeah nah i came into the industry for the longer hours haha but where i work rn at the HR gig, they've got no more longer days just the standard 8 hour days so guess what I did. Went in got me HC and looking around haha. Thanks for sharing mate
Hey mate! I’m 22 years old with a similar background as yourself. Got my HR when 18 then got my MC after a year of holding my HR. So yeah about 3 years of MC license. The only thing is that the company I work for don’t have any. (As it’s a Removalist company) So I’ve been driving & reversing semis, and dog trailers. I’m looking to get into a B-Double job and explore into the transport. you reckon someone or a few would give me a crack? Or would that be an issue? I also recommend getting a face cam. Like a pov. If I ever or anyone go searching for truck vids it’s the povs that get the views. lol only if you want to
Been driving MR for 12 years, I just enjoy my job too much to upgrade my license. The want to drive big rigs is real, I contemplate with myself everyday but still never upgrade.
Are you still paid for downtime at yards waiting? I've heard some employers don't. If you're waiting for a slot, is that only an issue if you're an owner driver where you're paid for the run, not the time 'on' that run?
How is the pay? I got my hr but had to keep working in another industry because the pay wasn’t worth it, waiting to get my hc or find something that pays a bit better
@@PWD65 yes sure. There are many great truck drivers but unfortunately also some clowns. This is the case with car drivers. A few clowns but mostly quite good

As local drivers you’re pretty much paid hrly if you’re an interstate driver it wrks a bit differently just depends on who u wrk for
One question that I wanna ask, does the company you currently work with issue any type of uniforms?
If ur a company driver yes most of the time
How is the pay? I got my hr but had to keep working in another industry because the pay wasn’t worth it, waiting to get my hc or find something that pays a bit better
All depends on who and where u work money can be decent just gotta find the right job
🔥🔥
How are you working the Log book if just sitting there ? ... Smoko 😂😂😂
Local driver don’t use a logbook 👍
more driving contant
