One of my favorite memories when I was a child, was going to Asbury park. We have pictures of my sister myself and my two cousins with great big colorful flat lollipops that we got on the boardwalk. It was a beautiful place to be in the 60s
Omg yes back in the 60’s so much fun. Beautiful place to be. The best in the world. I was 16 at that time. I remember the big merry go round and the convention center. Everything. And the sounds and music.
@12:00....Silverball museum is the best. Been there twice over the years. for about $20 you can play all the pinball you want. It's great. Well maintained old games and new games as well. There's also the Sea, Hear, Now music festival in Sept... which we were a day late for the last time we visited. It was great just walking the boardwalk and watching the work taking it down. Must be a great festival to attend at the beach.
It's so nice to see Asbury thriving. I remember there being some very dark times for that area. Going inside the abandoned Palace Amusements and Casino when I was younger in the early 2000's was cool though.
