Totally agree
There are singers. There are songwriters. There are musicians and performers. But there are very, oh so very few artists.
When I hear something like ‘The Puzzle’, coupled with its visual, then sit mesmerised by the aesthetic and scope of the ‘One’ tetralogy or the stark, deep resonance of ‘These Days’, I know I am witness to a true artist at work. I don’t know what amazes me most; your lyrics, your voice, the way you compose. I do love your use of rhythm and percussion, particularly. I often marvel at how a piece can be so percussive in arrangement yet sound so melodious, so that you almost don’t acknowledge the presence of any percussion. Just harmonious rhythm, haha.
Ane, you’re a wonder. A marvel. You are a true artist.

Lucky to see her live at Vicars Street Dublin. First thing I notice was her sense of rhythm. She moves from heart and I am almost sure that she got that through heart pain. She is brave to feel and brave to see so she is magical on expressing honesty the way she wants.
