      I love Victor Hugo. So many movies from his books... Have you seen "les Miserables" musical ? Seen in London à few years ago. More than 30 years in theaters. Songs by 2 French men. 2018 movie with Hugh Jackman, Anne Hataway and Russel Crow with the song. So good.

      Hi guys, you're doing a great job ! Congrats'👏👏👏
      I' m French, living just a few kms from Paris and I subscribed to your
      channel because you really seem to enjoy my country and our capital city.
      If Tony ' s interested in V. Hugo, you should go and visit his Parisian house, it is in Le Marais, Place des Vosges. That's worth seeing ! I never heard you talking about Le Marais, one of the oldest arrondissement of Paris. Do you know that you can go directly from there to the Bastille ? And then, up to le Père Lachaise, the famous cemetary where Jim Morrison and others RIP....
      Enjoy your time with us and have a look at the UA-cam Les Frenchies (she is American, he is French and they re back from the States and living in Paris) 😊
      Bye
      Madeleine

    My husband and I were lucky enough to be in Notre Dame Cathedral in 2018 on Palm Sunday, it was amazing. The sound of the organ playing and the whole celebration on Palm Sunday is a highlight of our time in Paris. Thanks for sharing this amazing place. I hope to return to Paris soon.

    I am kicking myself because i never knew that museum was there. I had tears in my eyes a few weeks ago, seeing her as a shell, without windows and spire, and enveloped in scaffolding. But still very greatful her walls still stand and she is being rebuilt. And glad I've spent time inside before that horrible fire.
    If you're still in the area, go to Le Bistro des Augustins. Tiny,darling place on the Seine with excellent and well priced food, especially their selection of gratins!

    Very interesting tour. Didn't know (or maybe I forgot) that existed and till the fire, I've been to Notre Dame many many times. I was probably so tired from our many climbs up the steps on each visit, that I didn't want any more walking. LOL. We will have to check it out (again) on return next fall. Thanks for showing this. 😍

    How many people want to get a copy of Victor Hugo’s book after watching this? I’ve been in Notre Dame but never knew about this underground museum. It was a sunny day with crowds of people back in the early 80’s so perhaps that’s how we missed it or perhaps it was still under excavation? So much to see in that beautiful city.

    • @kjandtonylovefrance
      @kjandtonylovefrance  9 місяців тому

      Not sure what you're referring to, so I guess we don't know. We're going back in June and will have to explore. I actually, now that I think about it, they constructed temporary offices and even apartments right next to the cathedral for all the workers who are restoring it. I think that's what it is.

    Hi, just wondering if this flooded in 2016 when the rest of Paris, including the basement of the Lourve flooded.

    • @kjandtonylovefrance
      @kjandtonylovefrance  2 роки тому

      This area of the cathedral most likely flooded due to its proximity to the Seine, but this museum did not first open until 2018.
