I saw Larry Allen one day in Sams Club and I couldn’t believe how big this man was. He was always smiling and seemed very nice, despite being so ferocious on the football field.
Larry allen will be missed! Dude was a freak athlete! 6’5 325 and ran down a fast line backer on the saints lol 😂 dude also benched more than anyone in the nfl in his tenure! Crazy!
He ran down a 200 pound linebacker 100m high school star from a standing start...an incredible athlete, man and person...God bless his family 🙏. Boys for life...Stay Hard 💪💪
He was a teddy bear off the field a good father a good husband a descent human being...my heart goes out to his family...friends...and all that he touched 😢 Always Remembered... Never Forgotten 🙏🙏🙏
I have been a fan of the cowboys since 1970 and watched the 1990 cowboys with arguably the best ever offesive line in the history of the game. Emmitt Smith could not have achieve his greatness without this line even though he was a great athlete. This line was immense and moved all defenses back on their heels.
I remember him, I used to have him on my team on nfl 2k5, he looked like the kind of guy you could sit on patio or couch and have a beer with 😊 so sad for him 😢😞💔
Initially he could not handle Reggie White. In fact Reggie dominated Allen in his rookie year. Reggie whooped him!! After that game Larry vowed that would never happen again and he also promised to become the strongest man in the NFL. Both things became true!! He could handle Reggie and anyone else from that point forward. FYI......his teammate Erik Williams #79 could handle Reggie White one on one from day 1. There was no ramp up for him. He handled Reggie from the very first time they met!! With 2 guys this great blocking, Emmitt Smith had no choice but to be great.
@@shawnljohnson1 Erik Williams bullied Reggie White. There's a story where Williams told his team mate, that he would take care of Reggie. Reggie bull rushed Williams and he punched him in his gut, knocking the wind out of him. Reggie backed off, after that.

Larry Allen was old school OG Compton California. The skoal in the mouth, shaved head, 40 ounce after the game. He was an enforcer and NFL legend.

He was 6'3', so not too tall for the guard possition. Tall players cannot play guard well do to the bend required inside.
Not the strongest during his tenure, the strongest EVER! NO ONE ELSE in the NFL has EVER benched 700 lbs bro or even come close!
He ran down a 200 pound linebacker 100m high school star from a standing start...an incredible athlete, man and person...God bless his family 🙏. Boys for life...Stay Hard 💪💪
Him running down at full sprint to make the tackle against the Saints will be one of the greatest "all-out effort" clips in sports history
Anyone remember how STRONG Larry is! What a GREAT and I'm Glad he was a 49er too even 4 a Lil! Thank you Larry
I grew up watching him play. Great athlete and wonderful person.
Thank you Larry for the memories you gave me in the 90s
Larry Allen got my respect for playing all those positions except Center on the offensive line. That is insane! Rest in Peace. 👏💪🙏❤️

An unbelievable career and just sad that he was taken so young?!Prayers and love to his loved ones🙏🏻😞💔🥀

Yes, I do "REMEMBER", how Awesome they were 🙏🏾💙💙🙏🏾💙🙏🏾💙💙🏈
Him and John Hannah were the best guards ever. Both could play every possition on the line and be a Hall Of Famer in each of them.
In that way, I would compare Larry to Bruce Matthews too
As LEGENDS have it. Larry used to Bench Press Automobiles. A offensive line GOD!
An incredible specimen and a force of nature, he'll be missed.
We lost a HOF player and a HOF human being. Rest in peace, Mr. Allen. Thank you for the championship.
I feel sorry for the Family

You pick one game out of his career against white. Op poster is correct, the only lineman who could handle white by himself. @@shawnljohnson1
