@@MultiVulture yep, my parents also told me about that. You had to wait eternity and be really rich to buy a car (usually grandpas or uncles were buying the cars because they saved enough money). There weren't much cars on the street. Also if you wanted to buy some food, you had to acquire a card that you could get from your work with list of things that you can buy from this card.

It also have very nice HE shells. Its not KV-2 of course, but if penetration of AP shell is not enough, you can try to shoot HE into turret and most likely you will blow up everything inside through roof.

Pro tip, you can go right through the ump of the panther with the 122.
I'd persoanlly prefer Panther or even Tiger.
Way faster reload and still really good pen and one shooting ability.
I prefer the Panther A, myself. With that said, the reverse speed is absolute garbage and while the 75mm on the Panther has quite high penetration values, the APHE damage once you do hit the shot is fairly meh. It's a hard choice.
Extra points for being sexy as fuck, though.

If you see a sherman jumbo at distance, don't even try.
The reload is accurate irl and in war thunder cus irl it tooks long to reload like in war thunder so its accurate
Actually, you CAN try angling the hull, just not to an extreme degree like Tigers have to.

1944 Version has better armor
The biggest enemy of yours when you're using IS-2 isn't the reloading rate, or bad depression or even bad placed crew. Its the driver visor on Tigers. I literally died hundreds of times to Tigers, because o shot the visor and my shell didn't penetrate
IS-2 = Famous and feared for it's firepower, but hated for the long reload ^^

İ need to learn how to play f2 I can use its gun but the armor.OOF
pz iv should be treat as snipers and glass cannon. long to mid range engagement. at that tier f2 can pen everyone, mostly. since german tank are boxy, try to angle. it could work (i guess). And always use protection analysis on the most frequent tank you would encounter, learn their weak point and be a better player.

The only tank of that battlerank that can pan something of the same battlerange. But... if u got uptiered to 6.3 or 7.0 you can say bye bye to the pen chances. In this battlerange the only usefull trait is the survivability and the decent speed. Btw, I think that (now, 12/2020) usrr tanks era 4 need some serious buff

İn reality IS-2 only could penetrate 150-155mm of armor at 500 meters with 90 degree angle unlike 183 in game.Russian bias!!!!

I have the Japanese M4A3 76 W and it's a great vehicle. The 76mm M1 gun is just like very accurate sniper rifle. It's penetration is pretty good but it sometimes can do wonders. The mobility is very good, it turns really well and it drives up to 42 km/h. But the minus there is reverse speed. Only 5 km/h. The turret turns pretty quickly (when maxed out). 12.7mm M2 Browning machine gun on roof is really good for lightly armored vehicles and planes that are just wanting to bomb you. The armor isn't really good but sometimes you can bounce Panther, M18, other Shermans, Tiger 1, and T-34-85 shells. Back to the machine guns, the 12.7mm and 7.62mm Brownings are lots lots better than the Machine guns that normal Japanese tanks have. They have better penetration, better firerate, and the magazines are much bigger. I've researched already the M41A1 and I must say that M4A3 76 W was more pleasing tank to play. The M41A1 doesn't have stabilisation so if you stop you couldn't be able to shot the opponent fast enough.
Overall I love this tank and I recommend it to everyone. It is really easy to play and it's hella fun but sometimes annoying. It gets 10/10 from me, best tank I've ever played

@Sylling Boy strange, usually i eat tigers for lunch, and before the last major update i could kill kingtigers fro mthe front with HVAP ammo. i love the sherman and i respect your opinion, maybe it's not your play style

ive had is-2's, every heavy tank player message me after calling me a prick for thinking i couldnt pen there angle, anywhere on your tiger is 150mm at best, ANY angle i will penetrate and if not i have a quicker reload, ofcourse a tiger outperforms normal Sherman realistically in game as Sherman is less armored and arguably same speed.
i can play amazing in both sometimes but sound as if you struggle using a sherman.

I like the IS-2s second version of the frontal sloped armor, it helps a lot to survive frontal shells
I often play this tank backwards, turning the turret 180º because people would think because of the sloped back plate that I am a T-34 on first glance and just shoot the sloped plate, which either bounces or only do little damage to the engine, which gives me enough time to place my shot and completely negates one-shots into the lower frontal plate.
It's almost scary, how effective this is actually.
With that reverse speed, yeah it is effective.
this also gives you very fast retreat speed if your transmission is fine
