Just got mine this afternoon. It is fresh and rad and ill and any other 80s adjective you can think of. I took it out of the box and before I realized, three hours had passed. I'm looking forward to trying it with effects pedals. Oh and btw it went almost 3000 miles in just under 68 hours. Thank you for the quickness! I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
Dig this device! It's got the sounds and functions any fan of 8-bit music would want with a cool, NES-inspired design scheme and a simplified, minimalist approach. Definitely appreciate the PWM, LFO, what sounds like bit-crushing, and other features. And the price is excellent! Seriously? Not to give you any ideas, but this would be a great value at twice the price.
@@MichaelRucci I absolutely admire people who have learned to do what you can, and especially those who can build instruments with taste and discernment. Complementing you has been my pleasure!
Dude I need one of these :) And how is the 16 step sequencer coming along? I love your gear, your tunes, and your work! I don’t believe a day goes by that I don’t use some of your equipment. It never breaks down. So yeah I’m hoping to get some more of your gear in my arsenal!keep up the awesome work.
Really just comes down to personal preference, I do enjoy playing this along side a Maximal Drone though. This can give you nice references to tune a chord on the Drone and then you can play over that. Thanks again.
There is a CV input to control the octave control. Not exactly a "sync" in, but with certain modes you can get similar results. Here is an example that will explain it better... ua-cam.com/video/Pu8zLp4i5Ho/v-deo.html Thanks for checking it out.

OK, well I just bought a DFAM, which is very cool, but not $650 cool. I'm going to sell it to get a Digitakt and relegate DFAM duties to my Erica Synths DB-01 and your 8-Bit Power Synth. I'm very intrigued by the percussive aspect and can't wait to play it. Thanks very much for a proper demo of its capabilities.
Thanks! I build a few at a time and have them ready to send right out. Unfortunately I am not able to take on custom builds at the moment. I do not have a set limit to the number I will build.
No. I wrote the code for this specifically for this hardware. I was not aware on the mozzi library, seems really neat. Another one you might want to use is Auduino.
As an alternative to the 9V battery inside, you can use a 9V DC Center-Negative power supply. These are common for guitar effects. You wouldn't be able to power it from USB.
@@astro.mp3348 Oh my fault. I thought you were asking about power. To record directly into your DAW you would use an audio interface. These are usually USB boxes that will give you a few inputs. The output on this is 1/4" so if you use something that has a 1/4" input you would just use a standard instrument cable. I'd be happy to check the specs for you.
@@MichaelRucci ah I see, thank you for helping so much!, I can use my scarlett solo interface and if I'm not wrong, it'll work fine!, Thank you so much!
They are both quite different, but should be fun along side each other. From what I've read in the PO manual they are happy syncing to 5V clock pulses output by the 8-Bit Power Synth. I haven't had the chance to get my hands on the PO 20 myself.
Thanks for your interest. I’m working on more right now. Hoping to have one ready in the next few days. I will be sure to let you know as soon as it is back up.
