- These are SO close to being spectacular dolls... I just wish the hair was better. I think hair is SUCH an important part of a doll so no matter how amazing the designs and faces are I am always left feeling like something big is missing :( Let me know what you think!

I felt the same about Draculaura missing black in her outfit and the unpainted shoes bothered me so I spent several hours painting them and I'm so glad i did because they look incredible now and they added the black I was missing lol
You painted the boots? If yes, I would like to see ToT I’m not a super fan of the boots having only the gradient

I agree, Draculaura wins for me. I know the pieces are supposed to be mixed, but I prefer that Draculaura’s pieces were more cohesive. And I just truly can never get past G3 Lagoona being pink. Her face sculpt is beautiful & the see-through blue of her legs is super cool but her skin being pink completely ruins her for me. Draculaura’s base skirt & second pair of shoes, Lagoona’s base top, & both of their purses are my favorite parts!
I saw so many people saying lagoona and drac (also frankie but they're not in this video lol) were the worst in ss2 and even the worst in MH as a whole and it made me so sad cuz I literally love all 3 of those so much out of every MH release so far even without the poly!! 😭
I recently bought the Lagoona one. It's easily one of my favorite doll looks that I've seen recently
I noticed that for Lagoona her iridescent skirt needs to be put on a certain way for the fin detail to lay right. The seam inside the skirt needs to lay a certain direction against Lagoona’s leg so that the fin flairs out in the right direction. It’s hard to describe but once you do it you’ll see the difference in how it looks :)
But yeah, pleaseeee no more Poly hair Mattel, we need high quality hair for these stunning ghouls

I have both dolls, but prefer my lagoona from this line! I have her fully in her second outfit and restyled her hair to look more “sporty” and im obsessed with her.
I do think the lagoona’s pieces were all over the place for sure, drac’s were more cohesive. I love them both though 🫶
The soft vinyl of the boots has a weird chemical reaction to the paint which takes it off no matter what
Maybe lining the shoes with clear tape would help? If I get Lagoona, I will try it for sure

I love Lagoona, especially this one but nothing is going to beat a Vampire to me! Call it favoritism or just being biased but ya!! I just cant, even if Lagoona’s more my colors and not just Pink with Draculaura’s Black!

Thanks for this doll review. I love how thorough you are and how attentive to detail. I was waffling about getting Draculaura, but seeing the pink top with the heart cut off pushed me over the edge. I'm going to make her a pastel girl, maybe trim out some of the black ( not all, I like the contrast)
I believe you’re supposed to take the second outfit and layer it on the first outfit. At least the shirt and I seen people put Dracula’s shiny skirt underneath the other skirt and it looks amazing.
Your Lagoona looks a little wonky so maybe that’s why you weren’t really vibin with her face

for me lagoona wins, her makeup is super stunning and i love the first outfit! as for drac, cannot get past how weirdly the bangs sit (esp w the black streaks), how far the earmuffs stick out, the boring shiny skirt, and the printed second skirt. she just feels lackluster ig? awesome vid 💗
My Lagoona does have the glitter eye shadow.
That Draculaura face is so wonky and she looks tired with those brows. Also one eye is much bigger. Good thing you are in America and can easily find a replacement one.:( Well every other Drac they made so far was perfect so it's ok. I forgive them :D Her shoes tho! I LOVE them!, both pairs They are very MH!
The brows on LAgoona are printed to low I think. Also the salmon of her skin and the purple hair clashes with it. Her first shoes are not as good as Drac's but the second pair are epic. Second outfit looks great!

Drac is my fav! The day I got her I couldnt stop staring at her! Plus Lagoona's color palette is sadly (and oddly for this monochromatic series) all over the place. She feels so incoheasive
Lagoona is definitely my favorite of SS2! Her hair is so pretty (if only it weren't poly!) and her color scheme is just soothing and nice. Huge fan!
I actually styled Draculaura with the tank top over the first top with the collar on top of that, with the second skirt and I think she looks super cute like that!
Lagoona. Those Draculaura bangs look very dorky, I don’t know if it’s the poly, the colour choice or just how they were rooted in this line, but they just look awful. Like 5 year old kid cutting doll hair awful.
Currently Lagoona is my only Fearidescent, but I don’t really mind that as she is the prettiest and so “mermaid” to me.
Im sorry those fearadescent shoes on drac are so ugly, they literally just took the mold and spray painted the top, no effort, the first locker Draculauras shoes were actually cute, at least they put effort in the details
Also the jade face roller is used to help with inflammation and promote circulation.

My daughter & I are Lagoona fans in g3 MH. I do enjoy Drac & Frankie as well. I like Cleo more than I expected to. Clawdeen is def the doll I have the most reroot plans for. I hope Abbey gets more dolls. I’m excited for neon frights Toralei, Ghoulia and Twyla although I have a feeling I’ll be giving Twyla a reroot & repaint. 🖤🖤🖤
The hysteria over poly hair “disintegrating” is overstated. Polypropylene is plastic and takes 30-50 years to begin to break down unless something induces oxidation. On doll hair that would most likely be heat styling. You should never heat style with a flat iron or literal boiling hot water. Once oxidation has started polypropylene is vulnerable to UV light. (sunlight) Certain chemicals can cause oxidation as well but I can’t see anyone using chlorine, bleach or 30% hydrogen peroxide on their dolls.
So just be extra careful with heat, no flat irons and hot not boiling water washes and gentle brushing and the hair should last as long as you have the doll.
It’s not really overstated when dolls with poly like Bratzillaz and Winx that came out 10 years ago (or less in some cases) are already having EXTREME issues across the board, even NIB. It’s a huge problem even when the hair is never touched at all
Y'all weren't kidding about how poor quality the poly hair in monster high g3 is. I got g3 clawdeen last week with the plan of leaving her as is while I ordered some saran to reroot her with later, but it was so bad for my scensory issues I immediately cut it all off and rerooted her with some salvaged hair from a couple of old briar beauty dolls I customised and gave her a lil brown bob. Ordering the hair AHEAD of getting abby I think lmao.

This line really doesn’t do it for me. It’s the poly hair it just makes them look cheap. Only one I have it Lagoona her second outfit looks great on Skullimate secrets 1 with teal variant hair, luckily I have both variants so one can wear my favorite pieces that didn’t quite work on teal variant but looked amazing on dark blue variant, I love her accessories I love the shorts mine seem better then yours somehow but also mine the earrings are like Draculaura’s are on yours stick out ridiculously. I think it’s quality control. I definitely sprayed her legs very carefully with Mr. Superclear upon arrival cause I had already seen ppl with paint chip legs I REALLY hope they fix this too just do what you did with Spectra how hard can it be to slap some sealant on there! I think the accessories are everything however in this line I’d buy them separately and I would not complain AT ALL if MH reuses Lagoona’s shark shoes, Draculaura’s purse or the snacks. I “may” get Frankie but probably on sale I just …. It’s the poly hair I can’t justify the cost for hair I ABSOLUTELY hate and I think looks terrible especially made into short bangs it’s a disaster. The makeup on these dolls is great but in my opinion they dropped the ball. I definitely always get Lagoona first no matter what and usually buy 2 of her dolls this is only one I probably won’t, but who knows if it was on clearance for a Fangtastic price I may just to have those shoes twice plus her bag and compact which is a sand dollar Skelton one of the thicker species. Idk it had all the potential to be one of THE best lines and Mattel really cheaped out. I wish I could reroot hair and do it well cause if the hair was just better Lagoona’s legs sealed and also this line seems to get a lot of wonky dolls it could be legendary, but I don’t feel I should be doing extra work putting out more money to make a brand new doll I paid for better either. It’s great for ppl enjoy that, have the extra funds but not in my case.
Can we please have more other types of videos like vintage or old doll on Unboxing boxings videos please and restorations doll It doesn’t need to be a lot of dolls, even just a before, and after I just like to watch those videos and more thrift videos please and doll room updates updates I know the next one is going to be really big and I’m so excited and I just prefer your other content instead of doll reviews. I just don’t enjoy them as much and going over smaller doll lines like shoppins doll and other smaller Doll and old doll videos please like Monster High and my scene and I are the toys you collect what you don’t really talk about I would love to hear about to
im personally not a fan of this line, but if i had to pick it’s definitely draculaura. idk lagoona just doesnt do it for me, everything clashes terribly imo. from the colors to thr style of the pieces, its a mess visually. draculaura at least has some pieces i could mix n match with other dolls so theres that. nonetheless great review as always!
omg i’m so glad you brought up Lagoonas face because i said the same thing when i got mine and i do think it’s the forehead, maybe if there was more hair rooted it would or worked for me also the art seemed like there would be more blonde but there isn’t. i’m also sad because i did end up washing her hair and now the bottom looks completely messed up and i’m scared to wash any of my new dolls because of it. i did also want to mention that i love the art for the skulltimates dolls so much right now i have frankie and Lagoona but i don’t think i’ll buy any more until series three.
looking at my lagoonas side by side, it looks to me like this one has forehead scales that are a slightly lighter blue. plus her hair is pushed entirely back from her face which is not how the others are styled. so i think that is why it looks bigger then the others.
i was debating between lagoona and drraculaura at target and i'm glad my sister told me to choose lagoona, i was gonna choose drac but i ended up liking lagoona more than i thought. her shorts is actually my favorite piece bc her look needed contrast

i ended up putting the two tops layered on a couple of my fearidescent dolls so the second tops had the mesh sleeves of the first tops and i think its super cute
