Patrick Paul was really great in college but he had issues with his hands. Terron Armstead has his own class for offensive tackle school/class, they knew Paul had the size and skill for the league, Armstead can help develop him to his full potential. Armstead is also the reason Paul’s gotten limited reps, if he’s healthy he’s a top left tackle in the league even at his age.
Eichenberg has been lucky that he has been playing with Armstead and Aaron Brewer (who is a realy good center who doesn't get enough credit). Kendall Lamm has done a decent--not great, but decent--job at RT filling in for Jackson too
Terron Armstead and some of the other OL veterans have really done a good job of helping and mentoring Patrick Paul. Thumbs up to them for being good teammates.
I'm really excited about Paul. When I saw Terron Armstead go out, I was worried about both tackles, but they both played really well. This upcoming game against Houston, I see our running game returning, especially on artificial turf and indoor conditions. I think Paul will get even better, and Achane could have a big day.
#70 Fin looked at his defender get knocked by and did a double take looking at who the hell blocked him out the play. Then he seen Paul had blocked his man and Lamms man. Guys special
Shout out armstead and butch. AJ, eich and paul are playing at a level I dont think we fans thought possible. Good coaching and having a vet like armstead in the room has been transformative for this ol unit
@ True, there is always a trade off. He has slightly better than average speed for a lineman so adding a little muscle shouldn’t hurt too bad. As long as he doesn’t just become a big fatty.
Big boy, and gets to the opponent quick at is showin' good footwork, athleticism, and gr8 arm strength at least hes 1 positive from this OL. SMFH😤 #FinsUp🐬⬆️
Dolphins seem to want a very athletic OL. Surprised paul fits the bill at his size but very impressed with him (as a rookie) in his movement. Its becoming clear what McDaniel wants in his OL - its the same thing he wants everywhere else - speed and athleticism. AJ, brewer, armstead and paul are in that build. And if (in the future) paul can combo run blocks with his guard the way AJ did this year then this OL actually has a pretty high ceiling.
A tackling dummy would block better than Eichenburg at this point. God bless him but I’ve never seen a guard facing the opposite direction every other snap as much as Liam. Even when they try to get him in space he looks like he doesn’t know where to go as his assignments just slip past him
should of been looking to poach other teams practice squad Guards to replace Eichenbergh I bet there a few in those practice squads who are better than him.
But they still can not run the ball That first play you ran Paul got pushed into the backfield The play was designed to go outside but Paul got blown up It was Achene's vision and cutback there would have been a loss on the play Not impressed Brewer is a stud
This video makes me laugh. Dolphins are ranked 24th in rushing with a 3.9 YPC and you are talking about their toughness? Joe Rose and Omar Kelly were just on the radio today talking about how soft they are in the trenches. Come on man....lol
He is talking about Paul’s toughness. The Dolphins have Paul, Brewer, and AJ to build their future offensive line. They need to upgrade their starting guards and swing tackle.
Everyone said this was a bad pick. At the end of the day no one really knows shit about who’s gonna be what.
@@rodcarew1353 There’s an example or two every year

No wonder he is no good in the run game he doesn’t have enough live game reps
So hard to watch Paul when my eyes are drawn to Eichenberg’s terrible footwork and pad level.

Both G spots are a tough watch.

I pray that is the case. Bc at this point they need long and powerful drives in order to keep their own defense off the field

Uh Eichenburg has been better but that is not saying much. He is still over matched most of the time.
Eichenbergh blocking the wrong guy
As usual he is horrible
How is he a starter
Barely a practice squad player on any other team
He has got to be the weakest link !
His play stands out bad it’s crazy. You can’t tell me Wynn isn’t better right now.
He’s a big boy and should only get thicker and his play will get better. Futures looking bright with this pick.
Thicker and slower?

How bad is 74 Eichenberg! Watching this film review, any half wit would cut that guy?
been saying that for a few years now, but imagine how bad the backup g is if the coaches allow him on the field every week lol
Chris Grier is too prideful and is holding back this Team 💯
Well done
Start him.

If hes decent and not injured Grier will find a way to lose him.
Wish he was able to play guard while Armstead was healthy
Eichenberg is a joke of a player! Could of had Creed Humphrey and kept a fuckin pick on top of that!! Grier is garbage gotta go
They should've paid Hunt...
The first clip was a run play an he got push back at least 4 yard's that's not good run blocking

Eichenbergh needs to be benched… anyone else would be better

Pff gave him a bad grade. Everything I've seen looks like he did real well especially pass blocking
