    Hey everyone! Sorry about the audio. For some reason my mic didn't work during the interview but you'll hear when we cut to Louise that her audio is much clearer :)

      Thanks Louise. I'm sure we'll meet up again in a city perhaps more nomad friendly than Brisbane haha!

    How do you know that there aren't many female digital nomads? There are lots of people who are digital nomads who don't post about it constantly or make a living from "being" a digital nomad, we just work remotely and travel while working. I like the video I just wonder why this is the conclusion?

    • @ChristheFreelancer
      @ChristheFreelancer  6 років тому +2

      While there is little to no statistics on this, it is obvious to see when travelling to any of the major hotspots that there are more men than women that take up this lifestyle.

    • @ValerieStreif
      @ValerieStreif 6 років тому

      I suppose that is the nature of decentralized nomad culture. Still really enjoyed the video and the point about doing something you ENJOY remotely. There's no sense in trying to be a DN for the sake of it if you hate the 100 jobs you do online to make money.

    Solo female soon to be nomad here :D Just got a job teaching online. Travelling to places where there are other female nomads is a top priority for me for social reasons. If you had to pick the top 5 locations for single females nomads, what would they be?

    • @ChristheFreelancer
      @ChristheFreelancer  5 років тому

      I would ask Louise for that one. I would think Chiang Mai, for sure would be one of them

    Great point about the solo travelling Chris - been doing this for a while now and it really pushes you to meet people and is kinda scary in the beginning. Checking out Brisbane and RCL in a few months - hope to run into you guys :)

    Hi Chris, I can't seem to find your video where you break down your income... Quick question. You said a majority of your income was from web development. On UpWork, is PHP still the most in-demand web dev skill? Thanks!

    • @ChristheFreelancer
      @ChristheFreelancer  6 років тому

      Not sure about the most in-demand thing but the video you're looking for I think is this one: ua-cam.com/video/buqYbysNgWM/v-deo.html

    Loved this. I agree, pick your poison. Learn a skill that you can trade dollars for hours and a business model and stick to it. Dont start building niche sites then switch to droppshiping then UA-cam etc. BUT also know when to quit things that dont work amd double down on things that do work.

    It's good to see more women embracing the nomad lifestyle. Iv'e seen and met more of them around Chiang Mai on this visit. I go back to the UK in a few weeks. If you're going to come to CM as a female nomad traveller then leave your western mentality at home (or the airport). The scene has become toxic over the last year or so, we have seen the rise of the frat boy style bromad here but I have to point out they are not the only ones to blame...it's also attracting a lot of the man hating feminist as well. Things are not just toxic here, people are stating to clash...People are distancing them selfs away from the term "Digital Nomad".
