Pinned so everyone can mobilize. I've probably said "It's from CB2 but from a few years back and they have nothing currently like it right now" about 100 times over the last year. I'm happy to help, but please spread the word!
Couldn’t just add a line in the video description (items in the background) to state the info about the clock? There must be a reason you haven’t done that already.l Really interested in the content development you are considering.’x
It would be cool to see you cook a dinner while discussing the design of the kitchen and things to consider like how low the cupboards open, providing counter space next to the sink or stove, etc. Showing the practicality of good design in a kitchen and how all the little things can help with a good cooking experience
@@Nick_Lewis Nick you’re so funny, that even if I didn’t just love everything design, I’d watch just to see you say things like, “yes, I throw my mom and sister under the bus” with that little smile. Hey, your family’s your family no matter what. They knew you when, right? They’ll remind you of your worst moment ever. Always enjoy your show.
Some things deserve to be kept private. Your personal space is not necessarily open for public view. Not because you want to hide anything but sometimes we need our own space without public view😊
Nick and Valentina! I love watching both of your channels and getting lots of ideas, binge watching all your playlists 😍 thank you for the inspiration from a Sardinian in the UK 😅
16:24 "It's all being logged..." Lol YES! I'm also an interior designer and absolutely everyone gives excuses when I come to their house so I'm always quick to tell them, "I'm here to see YOU, not judge your home!" And within 10 minutes I've mentally rearranged all their furnishings.
I'm an interior designer and I always notice when my mom has done something. I wish I could have her kitchen re done! Love her but her kitchen went from warm and cozy to drab and not go together
Hey Nick! Love your channel; my community is still drowning in MFH and this channel feels like a cleanse 😂. If you're interested, would you consider doing a "working with what you have" video for those of us living in 90s homes (oak cabinets and trim, laminate countertops) who can't yet replace or update the finishes. What design styles and details would integrate those elements while freshening them up?
this is a great idea! many people live in homes that they can't mess with, either due to time or money and yet would still love to put in some effort to improve where they can...
I’m so grateful to my cat. She clawed up my hubby’s pouf couch so bad that I get to replace it. Thank you wretched kitty. I guess you can stick around.
I didn't think I could like you more and now I hear you have a rescue dog! Often people who care a lot about aesthetics only go for purebreds, love that you went for an adorably scruffy rescue.
Yes, please. Do some educational series. I love that you mentioned all my favourite interior design youtubers. Thank you for your amazing channel, Nick ☺️
What a fun video Nick! Thanks for the shoutout 😘 I actually love these longer vlog-type vids, helps to connect more with the designer that I’m following. I’m a sucker for the backstory! Happy New Year babe! 🥳
American here and I loathe the Joanna Gaines farmhouse style. I wish it would go already lol I have melded my love of steampunk and mid century modern and get lots of compliments. I have Edison bulbs everywhere!
Nick, I enjoyed your Q & A, and getting to know you better! And, yes, I would be interested in the educational insights you could provide, if you want to go in that direction.
I love your QnAs!! I really like to "hang out" with you, i love your personality and your fast talking pace. When are we getting a Custom Home Update?? Happy Holidays!!!
Thanks so much! Probably in the spring. A lot of the boring stuff is being done now. Next up will be renderings of the design that we talked about in the last video.
Great list of designers you mentioned! I’m really glad you mentioned Garret Le Chic - he is extremely knowledgeable regarding design styles, principles and history, very inclusive in terms of styles and his channel is just starting to grow. I don’t know him or anything, just a fan from UA-cam.
One thought on the dining table. My grandparents had an oval dining table that was perfect (except I hated the early American look). It was so easy for people to walk around it during big family dinners, it sat 6 in it's smallest configuration and was supposed to sit 10 with the two leaves but with the rounded ends we could easily sit two at each head of the table seating a total of 12. I bought their house after they passed and I have the same size LxW in a rectangular table. During large family dinners the flow is tight and awkward when I have the leaves in and I can only seat 10, I can't get the two extra place settings. Oval dining tables are awesome for flow and to expand. Right now they seem very unpopular, there are a lot of elliptical looking tables out there but I don't think they would easily accommodate as many people as a traditional oval. Skovby makes a 20 person table that I swoon over. I hope to have a big enough dining room for it one day.
Growing up, we had a “super ellipse” table, which is meant to be the perfect intermediate between rectangular and round. It makes for great flow and you could fit so many people around it. I have a similar one in wood now which I love. Big thumbs up for oval/elliptical tables!
I replaced my big rectangular dining table with a modern elliptical table that still can seat 8 and it is the best of both - fits the space much better, looks sleek.
Nick, it is fabulous to have you and your videos with your down-to-earth attitude and your positive comments and maturity. I always look forward to your videos with no drama, calm design and balanced opinions. Merry Christmas
I would love a video on trim!! Baseboard, crown, all the other… thingys! I have no idea what to use, what to consider, and what suits each space or style. ❤️ I’d also like to know if Mike gives you free reign to decorate or if he has secret MFH room/Mike-cave? 😂
Nick, thank you so much for the content you create : from the random snarky comments to actual educational content-love it all! I actually enjoy your educational videos and I have applied (or I aspire to) many of the lessons, observations you share. Also, I am in the Edison bulb team!
I loooove your education-focused videos. The silly and fun ones are always awesome but I get so much out of listening to you and learning because if I’m able to put it into practice I reap the benefits so everybody wins 😇
Happy Holidays Nick, Mike and Sophie. What a really nice refreshing video Nick. It's so wonderful getting to know you on a more personal level. Hugs from Spokane Washington USA.
Just want to say thank you. Just bought/moved into my first home and your videos really helped me feel less overwhelmed! Your paint video literally picked my home colors and I will never stop watching!
I just found this channel and you this week. Where have you been all my life?! I love your videos and advice, thank you! Your videos are exactly what I am thinking of for my home but can't seem to articulate or bring full circle. Sorry to sound overly fan girl-ish. Happy holidays from San Diego, CA and Seattle, WA.
Merry Christmas Nick! So glad you have a rescue puppy. I have rescue cats. I believe a rescue animal has lots of love to give. So glad you brought up MFH. It's not common all over the US. There are distinctive styles to certain areas. Most people who live in farmhouses don't style their spaces in that way. White isn't practical in working farms. Cooking channels are as awesome as interior design channels.
Thank you Nick for recommending other UA-camrs ! I just did a ‘spring cleaning’ of channels I follow as my interests have changed. I’m excited to have more stimulating videos to watch now.
You're absolutely Amazing !! Hilarious and what I like most about you is your Honesty! Your advise is 99% accurate and your decor style is inspirational. You've motivated me to start decorating my fairly new place and even though it's a slow start ... must I say am I very Proud of myself. Thank You so much Nick 🙇
In addition to rating people's rooms you could "save" rooms with advice on how to improve it using most of the elements already there. Then it can be silly and educational 😁

I love that you totally named off so many people that I watch in regular rotation with you. I have basically curated my own version of HGTV on UA-cam. Merry Holidays
Thanks for the great video, Nick. Love the idea of more educational-style courses. The fun style of UA-cam is great - and you do it really well. But would also be great to learn from you more in-depth and systematically on different topics. I’m especially thinking a lot about colour right now - something you mention often, but there’s lots more to explore, and I’d love to hear more about it from you (as well as many other topics)

Hello from Slovakia (central Europe and not Slovenia:) I have found your channel few months back and started to follow and it has been extremely helpful. I have recently moved places and even though this is my third move, it is the first time I have started to think consciously about my style and follow particular color schemes and design to make sure my home would really look nice and cohesive. I love Edison bulbs. I see them at nice bars here in North Country. It goes with a rustic/ industrial design with lots of natural material. I haven’t found a cool Edison bulb for my living room, I’m still looking.
I just got back from Copenhagen and Edison bulbs were EVERYWHERE. So apparently it can be a Scandi thing too! I think it's to do with "hygge" - they give off a very warm light.
I'm sick with the flue and your vids are such a nice watch right now. Intertaining, witty, just pure fun. I love your personality. Also happy to learn you are from Vancouver, the most beutiful city in the world in my opinion.
I think I watched your video for the first time back in May or June this year. But I was busy for a while and didn’t check any interior video for more than half a year. And recently I started (binge) watching your videos again. I’ve got to say your video improved soooo much, in terms of pace and editing. I’m impressed how eloquent you are.
Nick, you are so charming. I could just listen to you talk all day. Thanks for this. Hope you have a nice relaxing holiday on your couch watching movies and eating candy.
Love your channel and your perspective. Can't recall how I found your channel but so glad I did! Always fun, interesting and informative. And I'm with you on the Edison/Funky Bulbs.
Hi Nick - merry Christmas! Love your channel & you are definitely my favorite interior design UA-camr! I love art deco as well - but mostly in terms of architecture & jewelry. :). Would definitely take courses from you, though the silly is great as well. Happy holidays & new year to you & your family!
I love your clock!! Knew it was cb2 cause I live in that place!!! They have a nice marble version of that clock!!Love everything they do!! Happy New Year Nick and you don't look 39!!
I really would like a house tour before you move to a new house, would love to know about your individual furniture pieces, where you got them and the reasoning you use in furniture choice.
1) you are a handsome man! 2) as a vet nurse in rescue, I appreciate your message. 3) It's taken over 2 years to build my accessory dwelling unit due to city delays...I feel your pain. 4) Happy Holidays! Thank you for the video
1:30 Examples 1, 2 & 3 are nightmares, 4 is beautiful. Such coldness. 3:17 WOW! Minimalism with gorgeous attitude, even though in general it's not for me...always exceptions. 3:40 GLAM! 6:06 YUUUCK! 8:15 Sophie's darling! 18:55 Funky lightbulbs are great!
Do you have a video on “blank wall syndrome” - how to figure out what you want, what works in your space, etc.. or could you make a video on that topic? My husband and I definitely have that problem in our living room. All blank walls 😂 please help!

Glad to hear the home update. Houses have their own time line, and can’t be rushed.
So refreshingly honest especially the house tour. Not everyone wants to film their entire house and post it on UA-cam. Also the pressure lol.
Thanks! Yeah it might happen one day... But maybe not! haha
What a fun hangout! And I love how you advocate for doggie adoption and spay and neuter - there are so many awesome pets available for adoption !!

Loved this. It would be VERY interesting for you to share one of your favorite (but easy to make) recipes! Show us your cooking game. ❤️🎄❤️
Thank you for sharing your career story. It is so inspirational to know that you have found this path into your late 30's.
Hi Nick!
Your video popped up in the middle of the night while I was watching a marathon of the British Royal News. I don’t understand why, but I am so glad. My husband and I own our own business and as challenging as it is, in the end, being able to call the shots -good or bad- really is a privilege. Thank you for reminding me!
Speaking of big, white apartment walls... I would love to see a video on that! On how to work with them, design ideas and options, etc.
Love all the channels you mentioned but you’re my favourite 😉 I can relate to your style and personality the most. Keep make those vids please. 🙏🏼
Nick, you are a breath of fresh air. Thanks for letting us know you a little more. I’m so glad to have discovered another person who appreciates modern style. Happy holidays!
I love that you totally named off so many people that I watch in regular rotation with you. I have basically curated my own version of HGTV on UA-cam. Merry Holidays
Same!! He hit all my favs and a couple new ones I can check out.
I also love Arvin's laugh. For you, it's when you say, "Thanks, bye." That always cracks me up for some reason.

Love your acknowledgment of your judgements. Love you honestly in so many areas.
Love your channel and I must say that Canadians are missing out...speaking as a fellow Canadian. I think your channel is awesome and would love to see more educational content. Furniture placement for tricky spaces would be helpful. Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas! As an American (United Statesean?) I would love to hear about some Canadian retailers and artisans. Anything that isn't from shoddy Chinese manufactures and/or drop shipped from God knows where is of great interest to me!
Merry Christmas Nick. It was wonderful to get to know you a bit better in this video.
I love you, you are hilarious 😂. Enjoy your commentary. Look forward to everything you do!!!!

Happy holidays Nick and every body. :) Wish everyone a healthy and prosperous new year.
Merry 🎄Christmas Nick!

I love your education videos - they are my favorite. Yes, please, more of that in 2022!!!
A Christmas treat. Thanks Nick. Love the shout to Lone Fox etc. well deserved.
Can you do a video on different flooring options? Vinyl vs laminate vs wood tile, etc. Love your channel!
I already loved you & your channel but I love you even more after this video!! ❤️ looking forward to watching in 2022!

Yes!! Education!! Totally interested in anything you do more on the educational side, and will of course continue to watch the silly stuff too :)
Love your podcasts, your apartment. You are informative and good sense of humor
Love Art Deco please do a video on it! We hope to be buying our first home soon and we want to do Art Deco style
I'm happy you get along with Arvin. You two have the style that's most similar to my own
Yes, same here for the light bulbs.
I think, a cool and unique (if only in big size) light bulb can fairly replace an extra light fixture.
Nick, you are so charming. I could just listen to you talk all day. Thanks for this. Hope you have a nice relaxing holiday on your couch watching movies and eating candy.
Appreciate your honest advice. As per showing your home? Privacy is important. Good idea to show only one area, like your patio. Thanks always. 🥰
Love your channel and your perspective. Can't recall how I found your channel but so glad I did! Always fun, interesting and informative. And I'm with you on the Edison/Funky Bulbs.

Yes I love both style of videos.
You’re not alone on loving funky light bulbs like Edisons! They are a must for me in my moody Victorian house!
You aren't the only one! Really fun video, Nick. Happy New Year!
In Arizona it’s more the relaxed Spanish style since most of the homes are Spanish, Tuscan, Territorial.
Another fun video!! Thanks Nick! 💕
I love your clock!! Knew it was cb2 cause I live in that place!!! They have a nice marble version of that clock!!Love everything they do!! Happy New Year Nick and you don't look 39!!
I love that clock. I can tell what time it is, maybe not to the minute and seconds but I love it!!
Nick, you are the only “influencer” I watch.
4:40 ironically it is snowing here in Vancouver on Christmas day. Happy holidays Nick and everyone!
Yeah I did not see that coming a few days ago!
Thank you darling, you're so kind 💕 Men being parodied are not off the table... just fyi 😉
As a huge fan of both channels, I support this parody 🥰

Thanks so much! Love your channel! I still go back and watch Claire, Ina, Nigella, John Maclean, Christine and Graveyard Girl regularly!
Love the long form Q&As. I listen on my commute to work or listen while doing other stuff. ❤️
I don’t know what Home Sense is, but I’m excited for a video poking fun at it :D
Same as Home Goods, I think?
I love your content and would be so excited for any design collaboration you’d be a part of. Fingers crossed!
I really would like a house tour before you move to a new house, would love to
know about your individual furniture pieces, where you got them and the reasoning you use in furniture choice.
I really love imperfect things. I honestly think it came from loving myself deformity and all.
I love that bus wrap, partly for the design effect, but mostly the story and meaning of it!
I scrolled on to your channel and I am loving it. Thank you! Heidi
