Say how did you do the rails on the seat to make the seat go farther up to the steering wheel? I gather this would work for any vehicle make as well just guessing.
I just bought a Slumberjack tarp; thing is big! I plan to set it up as you did using one pole - I bought a pair of telescoping poles b/c I wanted to bring it a bit lower as I'm only 5'6. Nice to see that it worked well in the rain, kudos
I’m really happy with it. The poles are a great idea I’m probably going to do the same now lol thanks for the idea because these ones are a little heavy and tall. It did really well in the rain and in the wind I was impressed.
Love it, Dude. K-K-K Kia Pet. I love mine. The modern day Chevette. They go anywhere. I’m thinking of using my Soul as my sleeping quarters and getting a tiny trailer for kitchen. WOOOOOOO
Looks like an absolute blast man. I will have to look at that tarp for my 2016 Nissan Rogue. Do a link up with my tent and my truck. I love and miss camping in the rain. Thanks for sharing.
So great set up. Got a Kia Soul as well, starting to convert in car camping. Did you remove the back seat to have a flat floor ? Do you have more videos ?
Love the tarp - what a perfect fit! Great tip too on the seat rails. I understand the need to be cautious in deciding to do something like this. Enjoy your videos very much. I know it is a very time consuming job. All my best to you & Brittany.
I’ve often wondered why many family campers feel the need to share their crappy music with everybody within a miles radius. I have a recurring dream that I have a mega-sound system that iOS loud enough to fill up an amphitheater with sound and then play everybody’s favorite music…opera. I’d love to fill the space between there ears with Pavarotti’s loudest arias. Or, make a national law that’s prohibits loud music on external speakers.
Nice video. Well cute the way you pronounce Worcestershire sauce! I’m from the UK🇬🇧, so it’s actually pronounced Wouster-shur, (all flat tones), but I think I’ll start saying it the way you do!😊
Lol thank you for watching. That is one hard word to pronounce lol I will be saving this post so I can practice saying it correctly. Thanks again for your support.
Nice video man! I've been using this tarp all summer for our well derserved monsoon season in colorado. Im running adjustable poles and you can set this up so many way's!🤙
Yo dude, first time watching and commenter. Quick question... what kinda stakes are you using for the tarp?! Trying to make sure I find the right kinda stakes for my tarp setup.
Thanks for watching I’m just using what came with the tarp and they worked great. But I always say the heavier the better those flimsy titanium once don’t work for me.
How long will you be in Santa Cruz? It's beautiful here and there is lots to do. Check out Pinnacle National Park and San Juan Bautista Mission. The Mission is right next to the San Andreas Fault. I can get you a couple of free tickets to the Boardwalk rides if you like that kind of thing.
Thank you for the recommendations we will definitely check these out our videos are on a bit of a delay but we are normally at a stop for a week or two. This is a beautiful area you are lucky to live here it’s one of Brittany’s favorite towns in Cali.
Rock on with that Soulverlander dude.
Finally, a video that tells me how to set up the tarp on my SUV! thanks
Your energy is everything
Nice video! It was peaceful to watch. Thanks.
Okay the toilet paper fire is amazing
LOL - “Other than the techno music it’s very peaceful”
Say how did you do the rails on the seat to make the seat go farther up to the steering wheel? I gather this would work for any vehicle make as well just guessing.
If you take your seat out and watch we’re it stops on the rails. There is normally some kind of tab that stops it and that’s what I cut off.
3:04 nice table! 👍👍👍
Thank you for sharing!

Have you looked at the Dragon Fly Tarps?
I have not are they any good?
I believe they are the best in the world. Once you try a Dragon Fly Tarp, you'll never want another awning!
@@OdedPaz10 I will have to check them out thanks for the tip
Thank you for the video. I was wondering how i could incorporate the car and tarp combo. Superb idea.
Did you by chance take dimensions of the cargo space when you had all the seats pulled out? The info would be helpful. Either way safe traveling :)
I’m sorry I just saw this. What do you want me to measure I will do it for you. The sleeping space I have?
@@Livefreestaywild yes please :)
I cut the safety things on the seat rails and have 6 Ft from the seat to the back. Before I did that I had 5 foot 9 inches or 69 inches.
@@Livefreestaywild Thank you !!!
No problem.

That would be super cool a little trailer built out to be a kitchen I would love to see that.

Thank you for watching the tarp has been a nice touch it’s huge lol
Nice. What size tarp are you using?
That is awesome! Kia should use this video.. amazing what you can do with that little space.
Thank you
😮 I have that same vintage copper clad coffee pot!
Love the vid. Cheers from Germany!
Yes awesome setup. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you I appreciate it.
One more question if you don’t mind? How do you get in and out? Side door or back hatch?
I use both ways lol but definitely the side is best.
U think it’s more better than those roof mounted awning ?
This one is way bigger than our roof mounted one. I would say there both good but for different things.
So great set up. Got a Kia Soul as well, starting to convert in car camping. Did you remove the back seat to have a flat floor ? Do you have more videos ?
Thank you. We have a couple videos with the Kia soul.
What fire can is that? Looks super cool!
I made it out of toilet paper and a paint can with 90% alcohol lol
@Nomadity thanks great idea! Now I need to make one
It works really well and last a long time for under 5 bucks.
Tearing it up in a Kia Soul, awesome my friend! Epic Beard Team also! 👍
Nice setup!!
Thank you.
That is one magnificent beard !
Is the tarp very difficult to set up by yourself? Very cool set up.
Not at all I’m very pleased with it.
This is next level !
Thank you

2:32 “solo camping”?! 😁😁😁😁
I enjoyed the video. Subscribed. I like the relatively simple setup.
Thank you I appreciate it. It’s been working nice so far I’m happy for now lol
Awesome setup, very impressive.
Thank you I appreciate it.
You have the best thickest beard ever! Awesome video. I’m an avid car camper also. I sleep inside my Toyota FJ. Great for me I’m short. 😊 cheers.

11:40 looks like the neighbors left…
That music was loud, man. Way too keep your cool

The burning man crowd loves the techno music. And a lot of them live near Lake Tahoe.
You go camping so you can play a game there…?! 😁

It is an amazing tarp I’m very happy with it.
One of the main reasons I don't go to campgrounds other campers playing their shitty music
True, but to everybody it’s very. likely their choice of genre is shit.
Lol, fuckin techno music 🤣

That’s the thickest and best beard I’ve ever seen.
