Looking at the top of your spud bucket - you have an ash tree nearby, like me! A pain in the backside, seeds everywhere. Miss one for a year and it will be 2 feet tall LOL
You're not wrong Steve! I actually think ash tree's are the most common tree in our hedgerows here, everyone seems to be plagued by baby ash tree sprouting EVERYWHERE! 🤭🙈
Thank you, I am so thrilled with the rocket, I love your enthusiasm!! This is my first time trying a few plants for autumn/fall they are small but with no protection or cover and it's mid-November, very satisfying!! 🤭Good luck with your container spuds!! 🤞🥔xx
So lovely to have you back in the garden! The potatoes look great and so did the turnips! Tulips and all spring bulbs are always such a delight to have in the garden! I am looking forward to see your display! 😄👍🌸💕
It was so nice to be back outside pottering, and giving everything good tidy! I didn't realise how messy I can be when I garden 😅 everything was a little out of control. Can't wait to have some spring colour and I am definitely going to try growing some more flowers from seed this year too! Hope you and Grinch are feeling well rest after the compost bin marathon 🌸🌼🌹xx
Very jealous of the Brussels sprouts! Been a year or two since I grew my own! I love how the blueberry bushes go this time of year!! I wish they'd stay like that all year round! I've managed 25 varieties of spring bulb this year 😅😂 mainly tulips and alliums as I have plenty of daffs out in the bed already. Lovely video Laura 😊💚🌱
This is my second year with the sprouts these ones were from seed, they are call Igor F1 and are described as a whopper variety on the packet 🤣🤣 I can't get over the blueberry, they were quite productive to considering I forgot to amend the soil 🙈🤫 There is something so special about bushes and trees that turn red! Honestly your allotment in spring is going to be bursting at the seem with colour! I do need to get my hands on some more bulbs!! 💚🌷🪻

fantastic to see you back in the garden- almost as if the potatoes wanted to welcome you back ❤what a great harvest. i’ve ventured into flowers a little and i have crocuses bluebells and tulips waiting to be planted
Hey Stella 👋 thank you I am so thrilled with the spuds! I am not the best with flower but trying to get better each season. Bluebells oh wow I haven't seen them since I was a child when I walked to school, what a great idea!!! 💚🌹🌸
Good to see you back in the garden Laura 😀 👍 Unfortunately I live in zone 5 so my garden is empty until spring. We get a lot of snow ❄ so I get really fidgety come closer to spring so I can get back into the garden. Glad I can watch your garden grow in the meantime 🙂
Hey Julie! Zone 5 it must be feeling a bit chilly where you are!! 🥶☃️I totally know that itching feeling, I was full steam ahead this season, my dining table turned into a small nursery! Luckily we had a mild spring but I am not sure anything would have survived if it wasn't! 🤭Keep warm and see you soon! xx
Been subbed for a while,, look forward to seeing new blogs. I've only got a small garden with mostly containers so I'm impressed by what uve grown, getting ideas!!
Hey Susan 👋 containers are so handy! I need to give a few of them some more TLC but I did just pot on a purple spouting brocolli into a 30lt container (the ones I use for the potatoes) I'd be so thrilled if that gives me some nice spears in spring! It was lovely to chat to you, thank you for being here and have a lovely evening! 💚
Morning Laura 🥰, 😂😂 my leeks look like teeny tiny sticks. Not bad at all for mid November 💪 and any home harvest is spectacular. It is super cold here and last night was minus 4c 🥶🥶 but it’s sunny so I’ll try to get out and spread muck. Have a wonderful weekend stay warm, Ali 🍁🥶🇨🇦
Hey Ali 👋 hope you enjoy celebrating for Gerald's birthday earlier this week 🎂 so thrilled with the spuds I thought they were going to be rotten with the amount of rain we had! What a robust variety! Yikes minus 4 🥶🥶 keep warm and spread all the muck your flowers next year will love you for it!! 🥰xx
Hey Catherine! That's awesome, stick with me I have loads to get done before spring comes back round! Thrilled you enjoyed the video and I'm very jealous of the sunny weather you're having!! 🤗
Hey Shawn! Thanks so much! I can't wait to pick them! Give it a go, you might find yourself doing a weird shimmy around them to get past but worth it for the Xmas dinner right!! 🥬🍴
Great to see you in your garden😊 hope you are recovering well. We have had lots of flooding on the island, my garden was under 3ft of water, lost alot... Cheered me up to see your video 😊
Oh Kerrie 😔 my heart literally sank as I read about the flooding damaging your garden/home. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I am recovering well, thank you, and glad this little video was able to bring you a moment or two to lift your spirits 🫂. Stay strong Kerrie, you'll get through this ❤️xx
This is my first year growing them from seed, I started them in April and popped in a good few scoops of manure when I planted them out, they are hungry plants!
I really like beets too Robin, I have been looking at seed varieties for next season, I saw a golden one that is meant to taste amazing its called touch gold! I can't wait to harvest the sprouts!!
@@thetinygarden_ I love golden…milder flavor. I tried chioggia this year and fell in love…..it’s great raw, shaved in salad etc., plus it doesn’t bleed all over.
Hi laura so glad yr back in yr garden crops look great I planted about 600 bulbs in my garden this year but we have clay soil so don't know how many will survive but here's hoping love crocus but tulips are my favorite yr kale looks amazing
600 bulbs Corrine wow!! Fingers crossed they burst through the clay soil 🤞 you are going to have the most wonderful display!! Can't wait to see the crocus, they look so beautiful and delicate! Kale is such a fuss free crop, its still going strong and tasting good still too, no idea why it is so tall though!! 🤣🙈
We had a frost the other week, 😅. Sprouts are doing amazing 👏 i didnt top mine but i did do one but it was by accident. Your kale should over winter im going to try over winter mine. Our leeks were pathetic this year but i have some in simialr aize to yours in the bed il leave see how they do. My blueberry bush is like yours GORGEOUS colour. Wow amazing potato haul. Look fab considering the weather.
Oh my god Tracey the blueberrys are SOOO beautiful, I can't get over it!!! 😍 I wounder is it not the year for the leeks or something. Such a shame cos I really love leeks. I suppose I can add them to a home made stock or something 🤔 I was admiring your kale earlier, so beautiful. I'd like the try the tuscan one next year I've never known a year like it I feel like its been raining since April non stop 🤣🤣 xx
Lovely walk round, your garden is lovely. And how great you're new crops are. Sprouts for Xmas! Nice to find another UK channel. I've just started a channel but haven't grown veggies this year. I'm in Wales so have had cold, drought and tons of rain. I've subscribed and look forward to catching some of your other videos. Take care,
It was great to be back outside pottering! Although I sound English I am actually based in Ireland! It was a super wet season over here almost not summer at all! Thanks for stopping by and best of luck with everything! 🍀
@@thetinygarden_ Ireland looks lovely, I must confess I've never visited. Your weather is very much like ours in Wales I expect. Far too much rain. But mostly mild winters these days. Further in land or north from me, get a lot more snow. I'm lucky here for temperatures but wind and rain make it tricky. I look forward to more of your videos. Take care and wishing you a happy Christmas when it arrives.
Hello I seem to have a lot of slugs and bugs in my Brussels sprouts. How do you de bug yours before cooking them I soak mine in water but always seem to miss a slug or two.😊
Hey Sabrina 👋 I had loads of slug damage on my sprouts last year my poor boyfriend spent Xmas day inspecting each snd everyone one! I don't think we ever found any bugs in there, wonder would salted water help 🤔 or is that a bit cruel 🫣xx

That was such an impressive harvest, especially the potatoes you left to do their own thing.
Thank you so much! I was so worried they would be ruined with he amount of rain we had! Sarpo mira are proving such a reliable variety! 🙌🙌
Great video! Super impressed with how much you've fit in to your space.
Thank you! I try and cram as much in as I can, I am learning that some things do need a bit more space than I give them 🙈, getting there slowly!
