MY Veterantog - Central Jutland Around 2020!

On Saturday 5 September 2020, MY Veterantog ran its first trip in 2020, namely the annual Jutland trip. The trip was called Midtjylland around, and we started as usual in Odense, and this time drove to Herning and from here via Silkeborg and Skanderborg to Aarhus and on to Langå from where we drive to Struer via Viborg, and then back to Odense. So it was pure driving with as few stays as possible, but with corona restrictions, which meant that we only had half as many passengers as there are seats for.
MY veteranog is an Independent Railway Association under the Danish Railway Club. Here are about 20 active members who, on a voluntary and unpaid basis, maintain and drive an old InterCity train consisting of the diesel locomotive MY 1126 from 1957 and a number of red passenger cars from the 70s. The club is based in Lokaltog's old depot in Hundested. MY veteran train does not receive any form of public subsidy, so the operation and maintenance of the veteran train is dependent on the income that comes from riding the train.
Even though the train is 40-50 years old, the comfort is top notch and since MY1126 is equipped with ATC, they can run passenger trains on most Danish railway lines at up to 120 km / h.
