- Five magics, from the album Rust In Peace
one of my favorites =D whenever i hear it i want to kill people o.O
Bestow upon me knowledge
Wizard, all knowing, all wise
I want to rule this kingdom
Make sweet the breeze that was defiled
Dethrone the evil prince's iron fists
In velvet gloves of sin
Parade the grey robed monks
The vestal virgins, wheel the wyverns in
Let the ceremony consecrate the marriage
Let me be the protege of five magics
Give me alchemy,Give me wizardry
give me sorcery, thermatology
Electricity, Magic if you please
Master all of these, bring him to his knees
I master five magics, I master five magics
I master five magics, I master five magics
Possessed with hellish torment, possessed with hellish torment
I master magics five, I master magics five
Hunting the abyss lord, hunting the abyss lord
Only one will stay alive, only one will stay alive
He who lives by the sword, he who lives by the sword
Will surely also die, will surely also die
He who lives in sin, he who lives in sin
Will surely live the lie
This is the best metal album of all time nothing compares.... The best of the best guitars bass drums.... The voice yes the voice.... And I m 53 I know what I m talking about....
Best album of all time, period....of any music genre.
One love ❤️
I agree... every song has a special magic...
Rust in Peace, Mr. Nick Menza. You will never be forgotten.

"This riff though." - the sentence that is on people's minds when they listen to any Megadeth song.
it's fucking insane
the riff near the very end is the best thrash metal riff ive heard in my life.
the ending part is very epic
Selfish.
Seems like the guitar part of the song, "Voodoo People" by Prodigy.
fake. obviously.
Utku Birkan yee. Probably. Cello's version isnt though.
Raymundo Flores *2chello
Most underrated megadeth song definitely.
"Looking down the cross" is more underrated.
The Conjuring
not just these songs the whole megadeth is the most underrated band ever
Yeah,if you've only just gotten into metal. They are extremely well known. What's next, are Priest and Sabbath underrated as well?
Dr. Moreau I would agree with the statement that Megadeth is a little underrated. They get ripped off at festivals a lot. There's a festival coming up they're playing third to last on day one of three when they should be going on right before Slayer goes before Ozzy on the last day
FIVE MAD CHICKS
impregnate them
Good band name.
my nightmare
4:45 the reason why i love this song so much...
Raging Asura it's guitar rape.
THIGHMASTER!
FIVE MAD CHICKS!
:D
Dang it dude lol it's so easy to change Mustaine's lyrics...
Pizzas.... but who's buying?
Lol if I didn't no it
Bestow upon me....the knowledge, the power, the pure energy this song creates from the depths of ones soul all the way through your body!....long live MEGADETH!!!!
By far my favorite Megadeath cd. Nothing is even a close second.
+Brendon Bookman Not even Killing is my Business? You kidding me.
Ryan Sedlacek c'mon dude, everyone has different opinions
Have you ever listened Peace sells...but who is buying? I dont think so mate....
4:46 to 5:44. Few bands have an ending this intense or kickass in their entire catalogue. For Megadeth, this is just one of many.
Try to listen to Megadeth songs when you're running or training...your stamina will be refueled by (5) Magic(s).....^^
Sweating bullets is my fav for running
@@MrErCojone sameeeee
I always used to not like this song for some reason, then I went back to this page a couple of years later and now this is one of my favorite tracks on the best album ever! One of the heaviest too.
My all-time favorite Megadeth song and I personally think it is their best: FIVE MAGICS! GIVE ME ALCHEMY! GIVE ME SORCERY! GIVE ME WIZARDY! THERMOTOLOGY! ELECTRICITY! MASTER ALL OF THESE!
BRINGING TO ITS KNEES!
+Çağatay Sunal It's "Bring Him to his knees." lol
Cliff Burton should have left with Mustain on that Greyhound the day he was booted from Metallica then he could have helped form Megadeth and would probably still be alive.
+marc dewey Tooootallyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Leave the band that became the worlds greatest metal band for mediocre no thanks Cliff made the correct move. Besides Cliff he even said he thought Dave Cunstaine should of kept his mouth shut every once in a whilez
+marc dewey "Mustain"
and it wouldn't have been logical for Burton to quit Metallica.
+Keith Gunshot Burton hated Mustaine.
Not really. James, Lars, and Cliff didn't full on hate Dave Mustaine, they just knew he needed to go because of his drug and drinking problems. James wept when he drove Mustaine to the L.A. bus because he knew he'd miss such an amazing friend and bandmate. Cliff didn't hate Mustaine at all, but he realized that bad things would happen if Dave was kept in the band.
Dave's solo at the end is fucking awesome
the guitar work on this album has got to be some of the best in metal
EPIC! I crank this up when i'm driving down a country road at 100
Mustaine shreddings really works. He is so creative with his compositions that even a redundant thing as shred never gets old and always feels renew. The ending solo is a masterpiece.
when im listening the the last instrumental part of this song my spirit is juat gets apart from my body.
Simply one of the very best Megadeth's songs... One effin masterpiece that has it all. Great lyrics, super bass, badass riffs (my head almost explodes with the solo at the ending...) and excelent drums. At these times they were mastering all of these...
One of the greatest guitar solos of all time. Wonder if it's Friedman or Dave on that solo?
Thanks for info!
Anthony Lozupone He also solos in Hook In Mouth, Peace Sells, In My Darkest Hour, Set The World Afire, Hangar 18, Sweating Bullets, Youthanasia, Mechanix, and Paranoid (which is a Black Sabbath cover)
***** Whoah whoah fuckin whoah.. what about my last words?!?!
*****
Indisputably one of the best metal songs ever. Nothing else like it.
you guys do realize this isnt the remastered version... right???
***** no it isnt
+Toran Dulaney Do you realize you are talking to Dave Mustaine?
#amirite?
leoncurtis no
***** lol
It is the original one. You can easily hear it because of the drums.
This is one of the most underrated songs by Megadeth.
This song defines talent. Its perfect just how complex it is!
memberizing
Bastard's Bully ew TRASH member when Dave was in Metallica? I member.
This is my favorite Megadeth song. Kick ass bass begining, and its practically all solos. Megadeth is godlike in all insturments
Dave = much better than James all aspects of metal. I alway have liked all megadeth better than Metallica
Not in all aspects. James is a better vocalist
Lol, if you think Mustaine's wet cat voice makes him a better vocalist than Hetfield...
Oh gee, haven't heard this before.
James better vocals and rythm.guitarist
@@silverblack5475 Better vocalist yes, but Mustaine is a better rhythm and far better lead guitarist than Hetfield ever was. Rust In Peace, Killing is my Business, United Abominations, Endgame and Peace Sells...but Who's Buying all have top notch metal rhythm guitar work creatively, sonically and harmonically.
Absolutely love the ending, the last 2 minutes are badassss. Delicious
You can always tell Dave Solos apart from Marty's. Marty's are more intricate most of the time but Dave's usually have the same tricks in different order. Mindless shredding. Still great tho
Have you heard united abominations? you can tell mustaine's solos aside from broderick's cause he never steers clear of the pentatonic scale lol
Fuck you're right man.. haha Broderick is still a badass guitarist
Mindless shredding? You sir, are a fucking moron. Dave & Marty's solos are usually very melodic. Now slime back under your rock.
No I'm pretty sure that they are mindless shredding most of the time. Its melodic sometimes but most of the time its more like "How many notes can I fit into this lick?"
David Mardakhayev You kind of defeated your own point. You called it "mindless shredding" and then say that it's like he's saying to himself "How many notes can I fit into this lick?". So which is it? Mindless or thoughtful shredding? lol
the beginning, the solo in the middle, and the end riff/solo are the only parts worth listening to in this song. so unique
Till 2:00 its fucking poetry...
Some of the most awesome lyric's of all time.
i love that intro
all that fall below the thoughts and wishes of above shall fall and rise to their own sufferings ... and i imagine the 5 magics are so much more, so much more , and so alive
James Hetfield is much better singer than Dave, but, sry James, Dave kicks ass here
+Yo Doka This is some quality thrash metal holy fuckin' moly
Yeah, but James still isn't the best singer ever.
completely disagree... dave all the way james is the same ole screaming nothing ever changes vocally other than the volume of his screaming
I'm with Larry.
I prefer Dave's voice as it just does not sound like anyone else. But that is just my opinion.
Want a balloon?
My favorite Megadeath album! , sickest guitar you'll hear!
Yea the remastersered version of this fucking blows
You could not be any more wrong about that, there both amazing
+simon may what is the difference between the 2?
The lyrics are a bit different, and the demoic voices at the end are also different. Also the remastered one sounds better, but the original sounds more raw.
simon may thanks
Also thay are completely different recordings, but i think you guessed that already. And you're welcome.
The ending is the best part of this song. Love it.
The peace sells remastered is terrible because the snare drum is gone lol!!
I've not heard a single megadeth remastered album that was good. It's pretty rare that remasters are actually better. They might sound "cleaner" in some cases, but they also sound fake, and not as genuine.
Most of megadeth's catalog is shit though, so it's ok. There are some great tracks, this is easily one of my favorites, but the majority of the songs are garbage.
That whole series of remasters sucked, at least they left the bonus material alone.
Holy goddamn.... EARGASIM! This is how it's done kids this is a masterpiece it doesn't get any better than this. This group right here (Dave Marty Nick) made the absolute best thrash metal to date especially this album I honestly don't see any future album that can come close to being as superior as this album a group this good and an entire album this afuckingmazing only comes once in a lifetime. Top 6 Megadeth songs IMO are... 6) Hanger 18... 5) Mechanix... 4) Skin O' My Teeth... 3) Holy Wars... 2) Tornado Of Souls... 1) Five Magics.
I was lucky enough to find the original version of this CD at a music store. I bought it right as soon as I layed my eyes on it.
My first time hearing the original master. I didn't realize how much was changed, this is so much better
They even used a scrap/throw away vocal track because it got lost.
Might be the greatest metal song ever written. Dave's vocal's have never sounded this fluid in any other song.
best song ever, I'll never get enough of this song.. it's simply perfect
Ahh The 1990 original version I love it ❤️
The solo is just awesome, one of my favorites when it comes to metal, rust in peace in general it´s an outstanding display of talent from Dave.
this song was stuck in my head all day. i just had to listen to it on youtube.
Awesome song, I love it!!!!! I master, Five magics...
4:57-5:07 Oh my God! I never heard a guitar solo screech in such agony! Dave is truly a legend.
Prolly the best Megadeth song. Hailz
One of the greatest Megadeth songs EVER!!!
4:45 is such an amazing guitar solo that I almost had an aneurysm
This song is the epitome of Rust in Peace
the beginning is so haunting, love it!
the first two minutes is the best part tho. That first two minutes is like THE best most original intro ive ever heard.
when i saw them play this live/live it was awsome .....Dave really puts his heart into the music
Those outro solos are awesome, much like this album
I found this surprisingly better than the 2002 release (Especially in the echoed vocals). Thanks for posting.
This song is SO underrated! Haha and it was SICK live last Sunday ;)
oh wow...
that final part gave me goosebumps
they have great song that never played live...like polaris..and five magics,,
I have been in Buenos Aires when they recorded One only night dvd....I still remeber when mustain started Into launghs of hell and then Set the world afire...it was an amazing moment
In my opinion, probably the best song Megadeth has ever created. Yes, even better than Hangar 18, Holy Wars, and Tornado of Souls. This is very tough to beat.
For me, this is quite a special skeleton to unearth. Really enjoy Marty Friedman in this one. Great stuff, thanks for sharing.
watching megadeth play this masterpiece live was one of the climaxes of my life!
Megadeth is playing this on the big four tour! Hell yeah!
Greatest metal song ever. Not even arguable.
this song kicks in so hard! i love when dave starts singing
five majicks kicks astreicks
this entire album rocks, bestow upon me knowledge, 2 daves, marty, and drums rock too...
maybe megadeth's most progressive song, love it
One of the greatest thrash albums. A ,ust have for all thrashers or metalheads
I Love this Intro!
MEGADETH AND METALLICA 4 EVER!
Metal will never die!!!
Love the energy of this song!!!
ah, memories. this was one of my favorites when I was young. I'll never forget my dad getting it for me for christmas.
The best song. Megadeth is my life🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
such an awesome solo at the end
His vocals are very menacing which for me goes with the sound of thrash metal.
the riff before the solo is the sickest i've ever heard. Jazz Speed Thrash!!!!! \m/
One of the most underated megadeth songs.
Rust in Peace is my favorite album so many good songs with amazing lyrics!
Love the lyrics to this song.
BEST SONG I HAVE EVER HEARD
WoW this song is so good.
Wicked album! one of Megadeth's best. Most of my favoutrite Megadeth tracks are on Rust In Peace.
2:57
I really felt like I was entering a cave where some sort of wicked ritual of sacrifice was being held by monks, virgins and caged dragons
Competition drives metal to be what it is. Aggressive, and over the top. EXTREME in every way. While its perfectly fine to like both opponents in a fight, that fight is inherent and will not go away unless metal dies. The competition and drive or fight is friendly and done in the name of good music and kicking it up a notch. I see nothing wrong with people claiming megadeth outshred metallica, its true! I also have no problem with someone saying they LIKE metallica better, but its opinion
wow... i own the remastered version of the record, and I was aware that the vocal tracks were different but i didn't image the difference was so big. this version completely rules!!
4:08 My favorite metal riff!!
IMO best megadeth song!!! Major urge to headbang.
Let me be protege of five magiks!
headphones on, volume on 11, eyes closed, head back, bestow upon me magic wizard-all knowing all wise.
See, now I have to find this album because of this song. Damn it!
Best metal album ,like, ever
Anyone can take a configuration and make it mold into something!!
The one thing it takes to make it into a sculpture is magic!
Rust in peace is a message yet unknown...
There is a message unyielding to us all,,,Damn Mustain !
So much to understand !
unbelievable cool song!
This song is indeed magic. It's a shame Dave gave it up and sold his soul.
I thought he would be the last person to do such a thing.
he converted to christianity a bit before you left this comment yaknow
This is much better than the remastered version of it.
2:50 has got be one of megadeth's sickest riffs. some very underated solos on this track as well. wish more people knew of it
