Glad you like it so much. Before I made the video and graded all the figures by a WTB standard, I just kind of thought he'd take number one for some reason.
I haven't even watched the video yet but I was already thinking Warpath should be at the top of this list. He was actually my first G1 Transformer ever and I have a soft spot for him. I am happy that this one is one of the best of the bunch.
Rip Mamash. Damn, I remember that my hamster died and I cried to sleep multiple nights because it was an impulse purchase. When I knew that hamsters need a bigger cage than the one he was in, by then it was too late. And also it lived with my lil' brother's hamster.
My favorite thing about Paleotrex is how cool he makes Warpath look when equipped on him. My favorite configuration is using the dino feet to give Warpath running stilts, fitting the ribcage onto Warpath's back and attaching the dino thighs to serve double duty as a pair of over-the-shoulder blasters and a jetpack, the mask as a shield and all the rest as a big ass t-rex fossil sword. Pretty fun weaponizer gimmick.
@@PerspectiveEnd I just imagine he's got reeeaaallly good balance lol, maybe as a result of the Paleo upgrade. He could also kick and use them like claws. Or just slap them onto the shoulder blasters and you have really long claws coming out of Warpath's back. I must have spent a little over an hour just fiddling around with all the possible configurations. Can't wait for Wingfinger.

This past month I finally got some of wave 1 kingdom and so far bw megs is def one of my favs even though I do get scared of breaking him sometimes which luckily hasn’t happened in the weeks since I’ve gotten him. Warpath is also neat the shield doesn’t anger me as much as I thought it would.
Glad to hear the partsforming on Warpath doesn't bother you, I don't ever want you guys to have the problems I have if you get the stuff. And Yeah that Megatron is Awesome, he's just a little concerning because you don't want to lose the awesome.
I think Kingdom Blackarachnia is pretty forgivable in beast mode. her alternate form is more or less impossible to achieve without some kind of magic. its at least very faithful to the Theridiid spiders with the shape of the Abdomen being as steep and bulbous as it is with a relatively small cephalothorax. Even the spider legs are pretty darn faithful in that they are only missing two segments at the base which are easily overlooked anyway.
It is an acceptable altmode, though I do I think there are some things they could have done to make her look more like she's supposed to. But yes this is doing an impressive job at achieving what it is achieving.
I got Kingdom Megs the day before this video and, imo he’s fine, very finicky and the part where you have to pull his legs apart just doesn’t make me feel bad. I still think Airazor is better.
Yeah the leg part isn't fun, but the transformation is mostly OK. But what really puts him at the top of the list is just how insanely poseable the beast mode is. Outside that he's about as accurate in robot mode as any of the figure's and the beast mode is the most accurate of the beast modes. So that's really why he ends up where he does in this list. Basically by scoring bonus points over and over.
These mainline figures are getting really expensive nowadays (at least for my standards). Kingdom Blackarachnia was around $40 on my local toy store in Indonesia.

A few days ago I got a bunch of paints and managed to mix together a colour that not only let me complete cheetor’s belly colour, but make the back of Megatron’s head match the top of the front. They look SO good.
9:04 they probably did that because of the new Jurassic Park X Transformers crossover so they dont have to remold a new head, and since it still looks close enough to a T-Rex they probably thought no one would mind, which i dont

Hey,i just saw something on Reddit that was about somebody that was hauling the new prime for the next movie and somethin LOOKS like a siege prime somethin SHAPED like a siege prime and we might be getting a connect with kingdom and the movie verse.
My favorites from wave one are Cyclonus, BW Megatron, and Blackarachnia. It makes me very happy to have a good representation of Cyclonus and Blackarachnia, who are two of my favorite characters, and BW Megatron is a purple T-Rex, so he is automatically epic.
Interesting I've rarely heard anyone say that Blackarachnia is one of their favorite characters. Nothing wrong with her being one of your's it's just rare that I hear that.
I own Warpath and I'm glad you felt the same way about him as I did. Though I think the transformation is pretty cool with the legs keep folding out, but it's just probably a matter of preference And it's a good sign for a toyline, well this part of the toyline, that even if some are lower than others, they are all great at what they do. There isn't much of what is the worst and what is the best. Its more like what Is the best and what is the medicore
Oh that is a good part, but the bit that annoys me is the back flap that you need tiny fingers to use easily. Yeah it didn't really strike me how solid Kingdom had been till I did this.

As a matter of fact I found Megatron, Primal, Cheetor, Warpath, Blackarachnia and Cyclonus in a store, but their prices were very expensive ranging from R$200 to R$500 (R$ is the currency of Brazil)

@@PerspectiveEnd sorry for the late reply, but mine is completely and litterly solid, the rubbery stuff is ON. as well as my stomach joint/tab is super solid to the point where i spent an hour at it. i think im really lucky to have this copy, and his dino mode is just too good, ive made my girlfriend laugh plenty of times talking with it. i also got it on discount (i dont know why they would knock £10 iff such a good toy lol)
I think the best is Megatron, too. The Kingdom BW Megs mattered. The reissue of the 1996 toy wasn't out yet, so a Megatron that didn't eat your wallet mattered.

To me, Cyclonus is the winner for wave one. Impressive articulations, screen accurate in both mode(minus the backpack, it has the wrong position), and with a fun engineering. Well to me BW Megatron isn't satisfying enough for a leader class without any accesories. Just like you said, the kibbles, articulations, yeah he's fun and that's the most important aspect for a toy but he lacks the other aspects and i find myself annoyed with his Dino neck
Cyclonus would have totally won, but Megatron's Articulation basically counts twice, because of his altmode. It was Very close, but with him having one of the most Functional altmodes if not THE most functional altmode of all time he did squeak by on that.

Possibly, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Jurassic Park Cross Over is just the car, and you are supposed to use this as the stand in for the Trex.

My favorites from wave one are Cyclonus, BW Megatron, and Blackarachnia. It makes me very happy to have a good representation of Cyclonus and Blackarachnia, who are two of my favorite characters, and BW Megatron is a purple T-Rex, so he is automatically epic.
Interesting I've rarely heard anyone say that Blackarachnia is one of their favorite characters. Nothing wrong with her being one of your's it's just rare that I hear that.

I won't say you need them all but none of them are something I'd warn you away from.
I own Warpath and I'm glad you felt the same way about him as I did. Though I think the transformation is pretty cool with the legs keep folding out, but it's just probably a matter of preference
And it's a good sign for a toyline, well this part of the toyline, that even if some are lower than others, they are all great at what they do. There isn't much of what is the worst and what is the best. Its more like what Is the best and what is the medicore
Oh that is a good part, but the bit that annoys me is the back flap that you need tiny fingers to use easily.

As a matter of fact I found Megatron, Primal, Cheetor, Warpath, Blackarachnia and Cyclonus in a store, but their prices were very expensive ranging from R$200 to R$500 (R$ is the currency of Brazil)
Off if google is right that the R .20 cents to the American dollar, then those are about double price.

It is the closest to show accurate of all the beasts, so I basically awarded it half points for the beast mode accuracy.
I haven’t heard of BW megatron’s limbs snapping. I’m surprised tbh, apart from the legs little connector bits
Yeah, no it's not just those bits, I've actually heard more of the arms snapping off. They were apparently dropping incidents, but that's still not excusable.
Even though I think that earthrise is okay, kingdom is just a cut above and is truly awesome.

It was incredibly close between the two, were in not for BW Megatrons AMAZING Beast Posing, it would have gone to Cyclonus.

@@PerspectiveEnd sorry for the late reply, but mine is completely and litterly solid, the rubbery stuff is ON. as well as my stomach joint/tab is super solid to the point where i spent an hour at it. i think im really lucky to have this copy, and his dino mode is just too good, ive made my girlfriend laugh plenty of times talking with it. i also got it on discount (i dont know why they would knock £10 iff such a good toy lol)

The Kingdom BW Megs mattered. The reissue of the 1996 toy wasn't out yet, so a Megatron that didn't eat your wallet mattered.

To me, Cyclonus is the winner for wave one. Impressive articulations, screen accurate in both mode(minus the backpack, it has the wrong position), and with a fun engineering. Well to me BW Megatron isn't satisfying enough for a leader class without any accesories. Just like you said, the kibbles, articulations, yeah he's fun and that's the most important aspect for a toy but he lacks the other aspects and i find myself annoyed with his Dino neck
Cyclonus would have totally won, but Megatron's Articulation basically counts twice, because of his altmode. It was Very close, but with him having one of the most Functional altmodes if not THE most functional altmode of all time he did squeak by on that.

Yeah, he only barely didn't win. Megatron posing so well in beast mode is what clenched it, if it wren't for that Cyclonus would have won.

I was honestly expecting Cyclonus to win, but BW Megatron is a fantastic figure too, so I ain't even mad.
He ALMOST did win. It was Sooooo close.
Rest in peace birb you will be missed but i can agree with beastwars megatron and i say cyclonus and beast megatron are like at the same one but if i chose one it would be cyclonus because beasty megatrons rubber plastic warps easily in the tail and its a pain to fix
I can see why Megatrons durability issues can drop him to the number 2 slot easily.
