Yup, he's almost as good as David St. Hubbins. But then "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight" is more my speed. But this is still a haunting, beautiful song.
It was in a comedy movie though, in A Mighty Wind, sung by Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy who did add a layer of humour to it because of their characters.
A Mighty Wind was phenomenal, due to the fact that although the approach was satirical, all of the music was seriously convincing and authentic-feeling.
The first scene that I began to know about him is that "Macolate" manager character in Friends with Monica. Then about 20 years later, when I watched Better Call Saul, I suddenly realized that this dude is that Macolate guy. He is getting much older, but his performance in BCS is awesome as hell. Then when I watched season 4, heard that song " the winner takes it all", I think "oh my god chuck is such good at singing !!!", even better than the original version! This man is really a charming guy! I am confused that why it takes me so many years that I finally began to notice him!
背头键盘侠 Spinal Tap, A Mighty Wind (where this song is sung by Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara-- it got nominated for an Oscar), plus Lenny on Averie and Shirley (where he often sang and played guitar, sometimes writing the songs).
Twenty-three years earlier, we got to hear Annette O'Toole sing in a film called "The First Nudie Musical". Her voice was dubbed over one of the female leads doing the only song in the movie that's not a joke.
I'd love to hear them do Patty Smyth's "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough". I ghostwrote her album 1987 that came out 5 years later. I saw McKean live ages ago,and I had the hots for Annette from "Cat People"( w/Natasha Kinski). I'm 66 in Delaware, also a Smallville fan. Spinal Tapp !!!
Came here after binging Virgin River on Netflix. Annette has a gorgeous voice and is a talented actress. They make a great couple. Haven’t seen much of her husband since the days of Laverne & Shirley. They did a great job with this song. Beautiful.
Annette O Toole played Rose Kennedy in some TV movie/ mini series years back and was nominated for her acting. I was completely taken in by her portrayal, she was fantastic. My favorite was a movie she did for tv With Elizabeth Ashley & Richard Crenna, the War between the Tates. I would love to see it again.
I think the haircut was for a role she was playing at the time (I listened to the complete podcast this is from and she said she was currently doing a stage play where she plays a man). But I like her haircut, honestly.
@@BlueMHart I heard that she was tired of the length, tired of coloring her hair, and just wanted to age gracefully like her friend Jamie Lee Curtis. Maybe it was a combination of what you and I both thought!
chuck and rebecca alternate ending
The winner takes it all?
I came here for this. ahahahahha
I came here from that

The loser standing small.
My wife and I danced to this song at our sons wedding. Beautiful song.

@mikeking7710 Big Bottom was my fave.
He’s won a grammy.

Both Annette and Michael are amazing actors and she has a great voice. Sung all the songs in The Tammy Wynette Story herself!
McKean is brilliant and his wife is lovely and very talented
Annette O'Toole is a well know actress.
I didn't know Michael McKean did serious songs. Its odd listening to such a beautiful love duet waiting to get the joke.
Spinal Tap was the same thing.
Such a lovely couple, I'm a fan of both of them.
Wow. What a beautiful voice. What a talented actress, and singer. What an inspirational couple
Sweet❤ the SHOULD have won the oscar for that song.
Loved Annette in Smallville. Best portrayal of Martha Kent ever done.
Wow! She sings wonderfully!
They won a Grammy for this song.
Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love "A Mighty Wind"

Michael McKean is in 'Better Call Saul' on Netlfix and appeared in many of Christopher Guest's movies. Great actor.
Michael McKean hasn't stopped working. Some of his stuff over the past 35 years has been genius.
So pure
Never knew Perry White & Martha Kent could sing that good...
Amazing
Are they gonna play Stonehenge?
"I AM NOT CRAZY!!!"
- Chuck
Guys how did you let him sing into a microphone? The guy could die from electricity
Lenny and the Squiggtones have changed their genre I see.
Wow😍
"He is Sven Gali, the man is Sven Gali."

Not only an item, they've been married since 1999. 🥰
Sue HHM!
WHAT A SICK JOKE!
Mitch and Mickey did it better...much better
Well Annette and Micheal wrote the song…
She looks horrible with her hair like that. Glad she changed it.
