His first bit is one of my favourites. i loved him before this but to get up on a stage, stand up for a community and call out a huge comedian takes balls. his 4 part netflix special is incredible and high up on my list of favourite shows. you should check it out
Cold Lasagna is good and fun but it is such a drastic departure from his four-part Repertoire specials that I still feel the tonal whiplash to this day. On the one hand, I do prefer Repertoire to Cold Lasagna, but I also love that Cold Lasagna is completely it's own thing.
I was literally going to watch this tonight for the 100th time1 So great to watch it with someone seeing it for the first time! The Netflix specials are something special. I like that he changes his persona a little for each tour, his comedy is still James but the slight change is refreshing :) James was great in ghostbusters!!
By far one of the most unique & interesting comedians and style in a long time, not sure how copyright rules work with flagging Netflix stuff on UA-cam but would love to see you react to the 4 Netflix ones if you can 😁
There’s an episode of Richard Herring’s podcast on UA-cam with James and Ed Gamble as the guests. Halfway in he brings up the Mr Bean stuff and it’s clear he’s crossed the line because they roast him hard for the rest of the podcast. Ed is brilliantly vicious.
12:06 I’m so glad he said this. I didn’t realise the eclipse was 99. I knew it was close but want sure if the year haha. I got a cereal box and watched it behind my bedroom curtain 😂😂😂 crazy to know this comedian can bring back those kind of memories. He really is a genius which I’ve lived watching the last few years
Are you Aussie ? I’m a Brit haha. Good to see this comedy stretching out far and wide haha. I watch a lot of Aussie comedy and it’s nice to see Aussies react to British comedy hahah. We’re all the same deep down. Just with a different accent 😂
😂 11:39 is it bad I literally play this to this day. I swear ON MY LIFE, I played this yesterday 😂😂😂 promise it came in my playlist and I let it play through.
I’m not sure if you quite got the jist of the “prank” section, apologies if you did and I just misread your reactions but he wasn’t really pranking his agent in those stories. He was telling the story via the version of events that his agent believed to be true, ie that he did it all deliberately, so everything he said was what happened through his agent’s eyes and he was telling it that way to show how ridiculous the accusations were.
3:29 what’s annoying about this part is, several people from the audience shouted out. And James didn’t engage he just carried on. Brilliant. Kill the audience with a reply or carry on

You are so unlucky to get salmonella from Sushi. Your odds of winning the lottery are higher. Raw fish that has been caught, kept, and chilled, MAY contain some traces of a bacterium that causes a different infection. But properly stored and prepared: your risks of that infection should be close to zero. (The only thing that makes this a non-zero risk is pre-existing immune disorders or diseases that prohibit the body from fighting infections.) To get Salmonella -- not only must the fish be improperly stored and at improper temperatures but it must also be in contact with other food items that cause infection spreading. So the place where you ate Sushi was likely lapsing in practices. I've had sushi a good several few thousand times in my life. Prepared it myself and eaten at various restaurants. Never, not once, have I had any kind of adverse effects.
His four-episode Netflix specials are genuinely one of the best comedy things I've ever seen. Can't wait for the reaction.
This is the special that made me love James Acaster, that bit about edgy comedians made me respect him so much

real. it seems like the bare minimum, but made me happy to see support for a community that's treated like free rein for comics
@@unpreparedwithacapitalf literally. i'm glad it's not just me that gets so happy about it
his 4 part netflix special is really something else, i highly recommend it !

I feel the same! Repertoire is easily one of my favourite comedy specials (and amazing colour palette), but Cold Lasagne is so unique and interesting.

@@AdamfromFWCI HAHAH nooo but in his announcements at the start he said if you left during his stand up he wouldnt be allowed to have a go at you 🤣
I saw James live in Liverpool in feb, had a stroke after. I im still hospital still, sure was worth it, he's hilarious

Love Acaster! And the sweet Darby merch. Great vid mate, subscribed
My favorite Acaster clip is the cabbage story from Would I Lie to You. Flawless delivery from him and probably my favorite scene on that show.
Acaster is SO FUNNY one of the best comedians of our time
I rewatched this only this week. Love him!
I have been waiting for this!!
Hope you will do the four-episode specials as well:D
"Get outta here, ya Bappies"
Not a fan of his Netflix specials but this is one of my favourite stand-up shows ever, so good!

The sense of humor is related, it's pretty cool like that.

fun fact james and rose matafeo (s9) dated from 2015 till 2017 (so not the mr bean girlfriend but the breakup during bake off girlfriend)
This was a blast!
10:20 we love tea !! Tea is our culture haha. It If I must admit , I’m 38 now. And the last 8 years I’ve been a coffee guy.
It won’t be good for reacting but his 4 part repertoire series on Netflix is one of my favorite pieces of any art in the past decade
Brave little cis boi!
I think you'd really enjoy the british tv show Friday Night Dinner

"Bloody Bappos"
Since you're watching season 9 of Taskmaster... The break up 2017 was the break up from Rose Matafeo..
But not the Mr Bean one...took me way too much digging to realize he was talking about two different relationships.
And then I just unpause it and he mentioned right away that the 2017 breakup was different 🤦🏼♂️
@@MusicalJackknifeoh. Yeah. I probably should have mentioned that. Sorry.
this special is of course amazing, but my question is why would you leave james acaster for rowan atkinson
