- Health experts are warning of an anticipated surge of Dengue Fever in North and South America. The potentially deadly, mosquito-borne disease is currently spreading across Brazil. Dr. Albert Ko, a professor at the Yale School of Public Health, joined CBS News to discuss the illness.

Dude, I got dengue fever when I was travelling in my twenties and it's a miserable sickness to go through even if you are a healthy young person when you get it. It's much worse than having a serious flu, you're helpless and delirious for days.

@@justsayin8893Nobody said anything about panicking. They’re just giving us facts: dengue is common in the tropics and parts of the southern U.S., can be prevented, is no picnic for people who get it, and is on a cyclical peak this year.
If you live outside of the tropics, you’re unlikely to pick up dengue, no need to freak out. If you visit the tropics, use mosquito repellent and know the symptoms so you can get medical help sooner.
