Hello George! I watched your video, did the same procedure with the bulb and multimeter, everithing OK (good path to ground, solid 12V on start). So I unmount starter engine. It was fine (worked like a charm). I bought new one and bolt it back together. It works...till the next morning. Same sh***. I measured all and at first was all OK. But still no crank. After I while I checked with the bulb, and there was no path to ground!!! Also no path to ground if I connected +12V and engine chasis. I connected neg battery and engine chasis, and problem solved! SUM: there is a big problem with engine groundining. I did not find the location of the problem, but I think, this is one case more, if your metod does not work. Thanks, and greetings from Slovenia!
I am happy to hear you sort it out. There are multiple faults with such a simple starting system. In your case, check the ground from chassis to gearbox, give it a good pull and see if it breaks (I had one broken inside the insulation)

Salut. Asa m.a lasat in oras, cand imi era lumea mai draga. Am dus.o pe platforma si acasa a pornit...doar am desfacut si am strans tot ce era pe borna cu plus. Pe tester mi.a dat eroarea u1602 eroare linie CAN. Ai idee de la ce ar putea fi? Imi e frica sa si plec la drum lung cu ea pt ca nu am gasit cauza. Electromotorul a mers perfect cand l.am legat direct la baterie.

Starter motor was changed, yesterday no start when temperature high. No ideas.

Scan for any faults, there are many things that will stop your car from starting (fuel, air, egr, compression etc)

where the relay switch for lower fuel pump is on the alfa romeo 159jtdm 16v 1.9
The fuel pump relay is in the engien room fuse box relay no. 9, lower row s2nd relay
