I'm embarking on the journey of fixing my father-in-law's Lamp. Thank you for the fantastic videos! Would you happen to have a link to the on/off switch and the light bulb replacement with the recommended ballast you used?

Any idea what would cause the motor to buzz/hum? While dis-assembled, I can rotate the top hook them it will run silently, but always hums when plugged in unless I wiggle it. It's a brand new motor.
yes light is on let it cool over nite wont go back to put new motor in again there is current to motor could it have something to do with the globes as all mounts were broke off so made longer ones top and bottom nothing is rubbing check for clearance top, bottom
I found that the 12" 32w T9 LED Cool White works best and looks best in there. I tried Cool White and Bright White. The Bright was non-LED and considerably dimmer.
Ed and I are only hobbyists. Not product specialists. To provide support for each video we have made is not realistic nor should it be expected. We have families and other projects to work on. The motor is very tiny and weak for the large mass it has to turn. Everything has to be freely moving and well balanced. If it quit - is the light still on? if not then you may have an issue in the electrical slip ring.

That's a tough one. Perhaps some insulating material (bike inner tube perhaps?) would work.
Can you show how to wire with removal of starter.
Nope, follow the wiring diagram on the new ballast.

Shaft turns but the caruosal does not turn. Any ideas?
Do you recondition these lights? If so, I have one that needs repaired.
Sorry we do not. We do videos to help others fix their units and Coinop up.
