Thank you for making videos like this - it’s getting hard to find comprehensive guides for cameras like the 7 so it’s great that we have people like you passing on this knowledge.
I remember a Canon 7 model which had a kind of fold down squeeze mechanism on the bottom of the camera to advance the film and cock the shutter quickly.
1:02:05 Annoying top adjustment-port cover: I got a CHEAP jeweler's screwdriver (cheap ones are easier to grind) with a blade just wide enough to span the cover, then ground out the center to leave two little prongs that engage the holes in the cover… easier than trying to get a spanner in there.
So helpful and detailed! Do you have any advice for a model 7 that has a slipping film speed dial? When I change the shutter speed it pops out of the film speed. Thanks for being such a great resource!
Can you do a video of how to reset the shutter sppeds on the Canon 7 I tried to adjust and released the tension on both shutter curtains and basically the camera will not fire properly. A close look as to how the recharge the leading and following curtains would go a long way to me getting my Canon 7 working again. Thnak you for your excellent videos. Also, please let us know your ebay number so I can search your offerings in particular. Again than you for your excellent videos!
Nice camera, nice video! Use the force, Luke! Did you mean to leave the strapping tape holding the plate in place while the lacquer set up inside the camera?
The Canon 7 rangefinder does have the best OVF, but it's especially bulky & ugly, i don't like it's design. The selenium lightmeter also does make it look way odd, and often is not working anymore.

Thank You so much. You're the only one who detailed how to line the speed ASA dial. It helped tremendously.

What part of the US are you from? Your accent sounds very much like a Canadian one.
Is it possible for me to send my Konica iiia to you for a service/ repair ?
