I traveled in Japan 2 months ago, for a 3 weeks-journey, and I really love watching your videos because they bring me back to these wonderful emotions I had when I was in Japan, with its courteous wonderful people and incredible gastronomy. Experiencing daily life in Japan was a magic experience, that I can revive a little through your videos. Thank you. Greetings from Belgium ! ⬛🟨🟥

Those opening shots!😍 You have such an eye for light and water.
This time, I'm having dinner with you instead of breakfast. Sorry I was late but I can't help being American.😅I'll do better next time.
I ate breakfast for dinner (scrambled egg, smoked salmon, toast with kumquat jam, broiled tomatoes, black coffee) because that's easier to cook for one person. Thanks so much for ordering in English, it's very helpful. I would have ordered the prawn and squid meal set.
Hopefully it makes you feel less lonely when you take us along with you. It makes me feel less lonely when I eat a meal with one of your videos. And this time, instead of admiring the Japanese footwear that usually appears in your videos, we got to see this instead 17:35 😊Always showing us something new!
No matter how much of Tokyo I see online, I'm still blown away by how beautiful it is there. It seems like the entire city glitters with light at all hours.
Please don't forget to let us know the name of the fat-blocking tea you drink. If it only has a Japanese name I'm sure I could still find it. Hope you and your family are well, and that you got to spend time with your son this weekend. Thanks again, SD.

Do you text a lot to keep up with each other during the day? I hope you can find away to make things better. Life is short, and we are just passing through. So make the best of each day. I feel bad when you say that you’re lonely! I sort of understand because of your strict schedule and lifestyle in Japan. I’m American married to an Asian woman since May 1993 . I used to spend a lot of money when I was younger but because she showed me that we should be frugal together and spend less money we can afford important things for our family. At first it was so hard for me and now my kids have grown and graduated from US Naval Academy and Daughter will graduate from Law School this spring! We purchased a house back in 1999 and still live in it!! I love my Wife so very much!! She has been my strength all these years!!!

It can definately go both ways, my ASIAN wife wasnt MADONNA but she was sure as hell a MATERIAL GIRL driving me into Bankruprtcy before ditching her. Some are lucky and fortunate and some not so much I guess. So I can certainly understand.

Hello again Samurai Daddy. Arigato for another episode. Yes, Tokyo is a very big city. For me it was impossible to grasp. It took me years to understand and know smaller Fukuoka well. But daily bicycling and Japanese friends helped, now I know every part of the city, even suburbs. I do not mind a bit repetitive episodes. They take me back to cafés, chain restaurants and konbinis, shops, habits etc that I know so well. I am in Romania now with a different life, I miss Japan. Your tempura dinner looks excellent. 90% buckwheat soba is number one in my book. Soon it is spring and one can pick wild plants in the forest: ramsons, fiddlehead fern, bamboo shoots etc for excellent tempura. Plan a day trip with your family to pick some. But beware ramsons can be mistaken for Lily of the Valley - 鈴蘭 which is very poisonous. Rub the leaves with your fingers and if it smells of garlic it is fine. Ok, no advices on family and life from me and here. Have good days and arigato!

I just found your channel . . I enjoy watching you showing the daily life in Japan . . Japan is very clean I'm very impressed by that fact and how cheap the food is because I live in the USA and everything is super expensive here a dozen of eggs is over $5 here and to order a burger meal at McDonald's can cost you over $10 . . I hate seeing you eating alone then go home and eat alone again and go to bed alone. . I was wondering what time you would get home if you went home directly after getting off work . . Maybe your wife could put your child to bed and stay up and her have cooked a meal for the 2 of you 2 share . . I've been married for almost 30 years and you have to work at a marriage just like a job its difficult a lot of times but you HAVE to make time for you and your wife . . I also suggest bringing her small inexpensive gifts so she knows that you do think of her when you are going to and from work . . I will say a prayer for you that your marriage gets better and that you find happiness

Okay what I see here is that you could make a few subtle changes to spend some time with family as you have to work so far away.
Maybe have them wake up with you eat with you, then you leave. I see you eat out a lot .
15 minutes a day is usually what fathers in the USA give to their families, then time together on days off .
I think we have more days off over here.
Taking the time to make time with your wife could help your connection strengthen.
Does she work outside if the home? Remember, she is doing all the work at home, too. Raising your child is a separate job .
Sometimes people can start feeling sorry for themselves and how their lives are but when things change like divorce, death, and separation, we realize that life was good. We weren't appreciating what we had.
The grass always looks greener in the neighbors yard but when we go take a closer look, it has fleas, poo, and is water logged.
Good luck with what your trying to figure out .
    Prayers

I agree, the pastrami sandwich looked meager. But sometimes in Japan portions and servings are very small. I once had a pizza Napolitana with one tiny anchovy in the middle :-)) I told them to shape up and they brought me more anchovy, after that we became regulars and they knew how I wanted my pizza. Lived many years in Japan.

    What industry is your company?
I spent much time in Tokyo and Niigata. Working for Japanese companies. Seeing your video brings Back some favorite memories. You said you spent time in New York City. How much time?

Thank you for watching my video! My company operates renewable energy power plants. I was in New York for about 5 days. I was in my 20s.
