@Đẹp trai Bồ câu Handsome Pigeon I agree, the slip and slide is slightly awkward when editing. I much prefer using the Ripple Edit tool. I'm making another video soon on different ways to import or add clips to your timeline. So stay tuned ;)
I have been editing for nearly 20 years. Most recently, I got out of TV and went to work as production director of a venue on the beach. I forgot the shortcut keys that I used in day-to-day editing (after a year of not using them.) Watched your video and it refreshed me back to superstar status. I really like the vibe of the video and the quality of the production. Thanks for the refresher course!
I wish I could give this 2 thumbs up! I knew how to make a cut, but I did not KNOW how to make cuts. For example, when you used the C and V shortcuts I had a hallelujah moment, because I have been doing too much mouse clicking. I am venturing into 3 and 4 camera editing and this video will be a game changer in editing several shots. More videos like this would be great. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video! I just made the switch from davinci resolve to premiere pro and was struggling with edits. Now I feel more confident in my abilities to quickly trim long VODS.
I almost didn't watch this, I have been editing in Premier pro now for 3 years, love your videos they have been very helpful. I never used the ripple tool before thats a great tip!! Thank you👍
Thank you! I had to refresh my memory about another software's editing techniques and this helped a lot. Shortcuts are different, for sure, but I can look them up later. 👍
Att. Roberto.
few responses for your video, i'll have to edit a few times as i need to pause as i'm listening to the next tip: 1.) ripple deleting (for me at least) seems to be shift+delete, did you change yours to alt as a custom hotkey or was it always like this? 2.) i don't have premiere running right now but clip targeting tend to change priority depending on either track targeting or a clip being selected which takes preference over track targeting, in your example you've had a clip selected which overrides the razor cutting through all layers, takes time to get used to this
Thanks for the video. For the selection tool, if I am on the inner side of the clip, the red arrow points inwards. If am on the outer side of the clip. the arrow points outwards. But with both of these symbols, I can trim in and out. Is there a difference when trimming when the red arrow is pointing inwards or outwards?
Hello Gal, the transitions you have used in this video was very good. Offcourse the trimmings methods also superb, if possible please make a video about the video about these transitions and share the free presets to us.
Hey Balu - I list out all the transitions i use in my description box underneath my UA-cam Filmmaking Kit. My favorite transitions are from FilmImpact.net (10% off code: PREMIEREGAL10) bit.ly/ImpactTransitions and I also really love replayer's seamless Transitions, bit.ly/SeamlessTransitions -- If you are looking for free, MixKit has some free transitions you can try here, I made a video about it: ua-cam.com/video/p6L_2c0PThM/v-deo.html

Hi - what is the edit where, I have 3 clips, I set the in and out on #2 which brings 1 and 3 together? ":" deletes the in and out leaving black. What hot key will close that gap?
Which trimming method do you use most? OR, which method in the video was completely new to you! LMK ⬇️ 😀

I just downloaded Premier Pro and found your channel. Thanks a lot for all the awesome tutorials.

Exactly what I've been looking for, explained in an understandable way. Thank you !
I LIVE for top tail editing. Learning little tips like these have made my workflow SOOO much faster. Thanks and Awesome video :)
Awesome Colleen. it's all about that jkl and qw ;)
@@PremiereGal hahahaaa exactly!!!
Great. After a rough assembly I use the 'top and tail' method to get things pretty close to finished
Top tail is great, I do prefer to use the Ripple Edit tool when I need to get more precise cuts.
Thanks GAL. This is what I was looking for.
Thank you for making this video.
Great as always!!! best teacher ever, I love it.
Thank you for this great video. Super clear and makes it easy. Cheers!
Great wee refesher! Thanks!
Outstanding video, and very useful information. Always pragmatic information. Much appreciated 👍
👍 Glad you found it useful. Which trimming method do you use ?

Very helpful information you explained it perfectly thank you so much‼️
Thanks a lot
Very good

great tutorial, thanks.
it seems that PP is a lot more complicated than FCPx is. I just switched computers from a MAC to a PC and I'm not sure if I like PP yet.

Is this a limited time offer? Or can I buy it whenever my project in need for it occurs? Awesome tool and video!

The "ripple delete" shortcut on my Mac is "alt + backshift" (living in Switzerland, maybe different keys on my keyboard than abroad).
thanks
Thanks ! i wanted to ask how can i uncut a specific piece i tried using the Alt button but didnt seem to work
Hello!
How do I cut a specific clip, delete the blank space, and move that specific clip to another space in the same video?
Thank you!!
How does this video only have 34k views? Insaine.
Very useful
Thanks Gaby. Which editing trim tool do you use most?
Is this the same for cutting music in the time line below ! As I find that ripple delete doesn’t work ?
Thank you @Premiere Gal. Please could you help and do a video of how you edit your audio. The sound is ultimately 👍
I have couple videos on my sound ;)
lots of love from nepal @Milan Gajmer
It's better to trim and cut in the timeline, isn't it? I'm just figuring that out.
Not necessarily. For me Its helpful to pull a selection from the preview window with in and out points. Then you just drag your selection into the TL.
Is there any to make it to the exact time we want? Like I want to cut my video exactly at 43sec and finish it at 438sec
i love.............."you"r tutorial...i am expecting heart 😍
I really wish there was a way to simply drag your clip and graphic and effect longer or shorter without having to re-do everything to the right.
Alt+Del does not work but shift+del deletes and fill in the gaps . Any idea why is it so ?
Please do video in ae or pr for curent date and time presenting video
Thanks. I want to learn to you how to edit movie drama professionally?
can it possible?
a feature film drama?

Hi
Hellloooooo
i use shortcuts q w and ctrl +k to cut
why does the razor tool sometimes work with specific frames, it wouldnt cut where I want exactly..
Why is over half of the video an advertisement?
There are thousands of videos on same topic but none tells the complete information.
Why not use w instead of dranging the video from end to cut point?
Watch the whole video, I cover Top Tail editing, which uses JKL keys and QW shortcuts
So please give me this software I will be very happy even I will be forever grateful to you
😊😊😊😊😊
2:15 lmao me who doesn't have an opt key
Never mind that was for mac, I'm half asleep today for some reason
5:00 i can't use it
Thank you for the tutorial, yet you didn't mention alot of more options to cut and trim....

Seems like you audio is too pristine, so much so that it sounds not natural.
Interesting that's a first! I use the RODE NT USB Mini, which records directly into my computer as I speak.
@@PremiereGal. Probably just me.
I prefer some natural room ambiance
