That was fantastic James! That bass line is SO recognizable as well as it is versatile. Never a dull moment in it. Well done and thanks for the pdf. Going to enjoy studying it immensely!
Many thanks for this. The intro and verses are really distinctive and that's what I knew from the record. I had no idea the chorus was so busy and so much fun to play. Even the motif under the Mm/A varies in the verse. Nice touch by the hook.
Glad you like it! How's your bass playing by the way? I hope that you have kept your pace. I would be happy to hear about it and see if there's something I can help. Cheers!

Would you ever expect this rock bass line in an old Motown song? ….Absolutely, yes.

The clank and the fretbuzz is there it just doesn’t get heard when you put it against the track :-)
Ahaaa sneaky!!!
It sounds good, good brows too.
This guy looks like if Ben Shapiro and Robin Williams had a child. I can't really focus on anything else now.
Haha - love it!
Great job but I actually think your transcription is busier than James jamerson's original version
Thanks for pointing that out! Cheers!
is it a sin to play this song on anything but a p-bass? jk this was fantastic!
