I've been watching many random Snagit videos, trying to figure out if it's for me or not. Hands-down, this is THE BEST one I've viewed. "Game-changing" indeed. Most helpful and impactful introduction to Snagit's benefits all covered in 16 minutes! THANK YOU, Steve.
I have been using Snagit for years, and it's the best thing ever! Like Canva did for Adobe users, Snagit is during for it for videos, capturing, and more!
I’ve been using SnagIt as a utility and you just amazed me with the templates. I never really dived into it. I was just screen capturing and then dropping number bubbles, then adding it to an email or word doc, and then typing steps. Thanks!!!
Hello Steve, I'm currently at the beginning of the video, and I already have a feeling that I'm going to learn a lot from it. The powerful intro has certainly caught my attention. Additionally, I'm new to your channel, so I'm excited to explore more of your content.
I have used the paid version of Snagit for years but haven't taken advantage of the many features and tools it has. Thanks for the info and motivation. Watching from the Philippines.
I just came across your channel and this video recently! Excellent content! I use snagIt a lot, but this has inspired me to dig deeper into the more advanced functionality. Thanks, keep up the great work!
Great video! It was a little hard to tell since it happened fairly quickly, but it looked like to get the step with the 3 on it, you made 3 steps and deleted the first 2. There's a little hidden feature that can help you out here! If you select any step and just type a number, it will replace that step with the number you type. I hope this helps you save a little more time with Snagit :)
Hey great video as always. Any chance you will be covering your favourite password managers? I’m curious to see your thoughts on these heading into 2022.
You are correct. I have never gone beyond capturing and sharing on FB. Thanks for given us more depth to Snagit. - What is the difference between Snagit and Camtasia? What can one do that the other one can't? - Thanks Steve
Thanks! I've been thinking about buying Snagit. This helped me to understand what it can do. Actually, I need to make videos like this one. I want to record a PowerPoint presentation while I appear in a little circle in the corner talking about it, just like you did on this video, for educational courses. What program did you use to record this?
When you try to export you Template you create in Snagit as a pdf if it is longer than a page size your images and text may run onto multiple pages, since there is no way to identify page breaks in the template, is there any way you know of to fix this issue?
Thanks for another brilliant video review. I've used SnagIt for years and am generally quite happy with it. One thing about these templates bugs me a little though, in fact it made me give up on using SnagIt templates altogether. What if you decided to add sections, extend the size of some of the image sections, add headers, etc. It looks fabulous as a continuous file or image! But then... You want to print the finished template and realise that the output is broken up in such a way that images and text are split annoyingly which is basically all based on the size of a page created during page setup. I was looking for an option to insert hard page breaks to tidy up that mess. SnagIt isn't able to intelligently discern where a good automatic page break would keep the template sections complete rather than split between 2 pages. I've looked to find answers to this problem on forums and found frustrating responses such as, why would you want to have page breaks? It's not just me, there's a lot of people who have requested in the past a feature where SnagIt could cleverly split up content in a coherent manner over multiple pages. I find it very fiddly to fix these kind of things. For 1 page printouts those templates look great, but start extending it into a full blown user guide and you could run into all kinds of issues. If only SnagIt had a feature such as a RULER, or page break like Word, so that when it comes to exporting to PDF the sections are kept together nicely rather than broken up.
nice video, I'm using scrot, I can go through a web page and make all of my selections ...select with "crosshairs" and selection is automatically saved in the directory. (1, 10, ...50 photos as fast as I can "scroll and select") ...my next step is to have them auto load as slides into a presentation --this requires some scripting. once all are in a presentation, I will be able to quickly do the mark-ups I need,
I wonder to what extent Mac users make use of all the native features before resorting to downloading yet more programs like this. It seems to me much of this can be accomplished without the program. The infographic template section for SnagIt starts at 8:44.
Hello ! I am greatly enjoying your videos!! I do have a couple of questions... 1) After capturing a Snagit video, is there a way to play the video back at 1.25x or 1.5x speed at later viewings? 2) Does Snagit have start / stop scheduling? Say I would like to capture a webcast that starts in an hour and lasts for 30 minutes.... I won't be at my PC at that time ... Could I set it up ahead of time to start recording in an hour, this section of screen, and stop after 30 minutes? Thank you for listening !!!
Hi so I’ve got a mess on my hands atm and I really need a solution and I hope you can give me one. So I had a old phone which had my main email account and there was another account but I don’t remember or I don’t think it having a recovery email or number (or maybe I don’t remember but I have access to both my email and the number I had on my old phone) so I tried logging in and I don’t remember my password and it says it can’t recognize you. And that email which I don’t have access to was logged to a gaming service which I invested $100+
To tell you the truth making a quick video is starting to get damn speedy these days, especially with almost real-time exporting on newer computers! Computers like the Mac m1 laptops & mini, (I’m mentioning this as apple products are very common). These computers have some damn speedy video export, especially on a sub $1000 computer! And of course self built desktops have some quick exporting of 4K video as well! Things have drastically improved when it comes to video processing 4K in the past few years. I actually think flipping on the camera or iPhone and recording a quick explainer is basically just as quick if not quicker, (especially if you just use your cell phone!), and the same speed as this video or creating a document with this app, if not faster, if you have a studio already setup with your nice camera. What do other people think am I wrong in any way? I still under stand the PDF/document has its definite usefulness. Especially when wanting a bunch of documents easily shared and cataloged with others via email that’s for sure!
Your video of the Google reset password 3 years ago really helped me out I am hoping you are okay please respond to this message thank you helping me out I have a disability in my account got compromised by a bully and he is no arrested for other speakable crimes he was holding my account hostage until I paint him the money on a game call fortnite I contacted them as well and that's how we found him out he's only 17 years old but again you really helped me out with that video so thank you I hope this message goes out in people realize they need to watch your other videos as well thank you thank you thank you

Great to have you back Steve
I've been trying to make infographics for my blogs quickly and this really is going to help!

Excellent. I appreciate the fast paced nature of your videos. Keep it up.
I love... love ... LOVE Snagit and Camtasia!
Thank you for another great video, Steve! LOVE this workflow for Snagit. :)

I'd like to know this too
Love snagit and camtasia
What camera, mic, and lighting set up do you use? Looks and sounds great!

I guess the only way is to resize them before you populate the template. I have not printed the pages, but maybe someone else has a suggestion.

Can you create a Brand template and use that for your foundation?

Haven't seen you here for while, you on vacation?
Probably busy with Holiday stuff and recording videos.
I had the exact same question. It's been a while.

The alignment in the title is off when I download it to PDF.
Does Camtasia drop frames? This video looks jittery like frames keep dropping.
I think it is the way I recorded using my DSLR, I wend direct this time.

Hey dear , how are you doing?
Its not.
Sorry to say, Steve Dotto has passed away recently.
If that is indeed the case, I have to say....heaven is a BIG disappointment....wait a minute
