I have a question, maybe you can help me: I would like to make an infrared measurement in a region where the climate is incredibly hot (up to 50°C / 122°F). What do I have to consider when entering the measurement parameters? Can I leave the default settings as they are or do I have to change them?

It is the same with drone training. People buy cheap drones and think they do not need to spend time and money on certification and training. Thankfully Transport Canada has a mandate that one must get training and be certified to fly RPAS. I have added thermal cameras to our drones so am seeking training.

I'm Wisconsin State Firefighter 1 certified, HAZMAT tech, and confined space rescue certified. In an industry that's crazy about professional certifications, where we have used infrared cameras extensively, there has never been a requirement, or a request for anyone to get thermography certified. The fire service is notoriously overpriced in all things, and yet, the price for training and certifications is nothing compared to the ridiculous prices being charged for the certification levels here.

Thermography in my opinion is simple. I don't know why these instructional companies want 2K just for a level 1, $6000 to $7000 to reach level 3... I hope this video changes my mind as I'd like to get a certification, just don't want it to be a waste of time just for a 2K piece of paper... EDIT: As a master electrician who's been using a thermal imaging camera for over 5 years I did not learn anything with this video. I can already see level 1 certification will be a waste of money as I already know all of this. Contact me ITC if I can test out of level 1 so I can perhaps go to level 2.

Grimlock...ok, let's see what you got! :) Please e-mail us at info@infraredtraining.com with your name and e-mail address. We'll set you up to take the Level I exam online. While class hours are still required for a Level I certification, if you pass the test we'll allow you to bypass Level I and take the Level II course instead. Sound good?

@@infraredtraining Sounds great. I'll email you soon, I'm pretty tied up with projects at the moment that seem to keep me out till 9pm recently. Late next week would probably be good. Are your classes for electricians or for home inspectors? I'm not too interested in taking in thermal readings on shingles, windows, or walls. I'm more interested in motors, switchgear, transformers, and general electrical connections. Thanks

@@grimlockarts8386 That works, we look forward to hearing from you! Our standard Level I and II classes are for both electricians and home inspectors. However, if electrical is your primary area of focus, we also offer Level I and II certification courses dedicated specifically to that application.
