I lost some frequency from my hearing watching this beast from the fence at EBOS as a child. Especially the resonance of the 4 engines destroys your ears. Totally worth it.
25 year ago when one took of from Rotterdam The Hague Airport it flew over so low the ground was shaking luckily the horses did not react to any of it. Never seen a airliner with a glass nose it was very impressive.
Shared many ramps with 76's over my career. Mostly on joint military bases in the middle east and eastern europe. Like most russian designs they have an aviation mystique about them.
Ye, but they didn` t do it. That` s why I was surprised and almost missed the first seconds of the take-off run. I think they did the 70% engine run on the position, at 02:30
Ha una 'faccia' che fa paura... Ma è un aeromobile meraviglioso! Bellissimo e particolare il distacco dal suolo al momento del decollo! Fantastica ripresa. Complimenti!
Assustador e fascinante o som desse avião soviético! Esse dragão pousou no aeroporto da cidade São Luis (Maranhão, Brasil) ouvi ele pousando... quase a alma saia do corpo..
Pshew! Those Soviet-era jets with Soviet-era engines are not for kids! The ones that are left are still doing all that is asked of them, and more. It's sad to see so many of them being retired, especially before I have the chance to fly on one!
Why did the pilot come back? Did he forget his Slurpee? I love this aircraft. It looks like something from Flash Gordon, is so completely underpowered, takes 4 hours to warm-up, and about 14,000ft of runway just to get airborne. Oh and it's the only jet that has to dive bomb its landings. Lol cold war era Russian tech.
Classic is still a classic. Nothing beats the shrill of the IL76TD's classic engines.
Soloviev engine .
Su-57 Engine has better sound tho

Same as Il62M : a great sound !!
Russian jet engines. Violating noise regulations from the very start up sequence since the 1950s!!
They sound beautiful though...
No this is wrong answer . they are actually entering the inside waves of the sound by passing them in the Air . more sound more waves in the Air .
Not Russian these are old school Soviet engines

The 'Soloviev Symphony' in all of its shrieking, smoky glory...
What a beast of an aircraft. Thanks for the video.
With D30KP engines you need to stay 1 min on the runaway with 70% from take off power, till engines will achieve needed temperature

Very good moving aircraft photography. It is always on the subject, yet smooth and centered. Wow.
Awesome video Cargospotter! Always love that engine sound!
I'm your 100th subscriber :)
@@canadianplanespotter Yay! Thanks!
Тут всё прекрасно - и самолёт и звук!
Wow, what an engine spool! Amazing catch mate!!
Awesome Catch mate! Love the start up engine shut down of this aircraft. Liked

Pure eargasm. Aviation porn.😍👌
Wow listen to that. Thank you
I think this destroyed my speakers. Or else I've gone deaf. But it was so worth it!
Hammer Video Martin! Alle Daumen hoch für diesen tollen Fang :)
Lindo vídeo,, grande avião, que potência de turbinas, magnífico.
Lindo show de aterrissagem espetacular.
Great! But no, I turned the volume down. I love how dude pulls up the ladder and - it's a ladder. :)
That’s cool!!!...🤙😎🤘
Awesome! Lol we crossed paths! Did not realise it was you! What an amazing experience that start up and take off was!
I think I saw you. You came up the stairs and I said "hi". I remember you.
@@Cargospotter Yes! :D I decided to film it one floor lower to get rid of some wind and background noise. :P
Look at the way its built, its surprising how it dont fall apart standing there on the ground.
This is the sound of real jet aircraft. Modern engines are more like vacuum cleaners.
Shit, Martin, this was so loud you owe me new headphones ;)
Also neat tower.
Beautiful
Ух сила советской авиации🤝😊😊😊☺️☺️☺️☺️красавчик Ильюха, Д-30КП, его ещё по шумам пускают в ЕС?
Если грузы для вермахта, то пускают :)
Amazing Soviet aircraft.
Thanks for sharing this! Nice catch. One question: at 9:09 reverse thrust is applied on all four engines? That isn't normal....
Nice
IL-76TD, where TD means Turbo Diesel
Ил-76ТД - "Транспортный дальний", it means "long-haul cargo" (civil variant)
Hi; I really really enjoyed ur video.
*SOUND IS INCREDIBLE*
Which engines r used tdy in il-76TD ?
R they JT-3D ?
They're using Soloviev D-30.
@@AbhijitPaul_ Thank you.... 😊 The engine sounds like Monsterous ❤️❤️❤️

Glorious sounds of Soviet Union.
Tis a thing of beauty! Well spotted. Why are there windows at the bottom?
There is navigator's cabin, initially.
For navigation. Specially for the 19s time.
Your shots are amazing. Youve got a great camera.
Skip the engine wind up on the runway... why?

Many have retired into humanitarian operations around the world. One flew over my mom's home yesterday on its way to the airport.
Muito incrível.
What's Airbus got to do with any IL-76?
A smokey symphony...
Why does it sound like a mix of pw4000 any GE90
I call it the mini antonov
game is all about super thrust

It doesn't actually have to dive bomb its landing. It's a maneuver to avoid being hit by an AA missile
The other Soviet national anthem
5:32 F*ng bird!
As quiet as a whisper!! Hahahahahaha. What's the right word for the sound? I've got it: cacophony!
