My neighbor and I are overcomers. We had to overcome different things but we did overcome those things. This song means a lot to both of us. I'm grateful that she sang this song and made this video. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
I stopped worshipping god about 5 years ago because I was struggling with depression, anxiety and PTSD and I didn’t wanna pair into groups and someone told me why do you bother coming you should just leave. I took it as a sign that God didn’t want me and I haven’t been to church willingly since. But this morning I was struggling to get up and thought that I should play “Good Morning” and after that song this song started playing. And I started bawling. I think this song saved my relationship with God and even saved my life because I was struggling with deciding if I should live or not.
Don't give up on life. Better days are coming. Jesus still has you and would be more than happy if you could give him your worries and fears. Stay blessed
I'm so sorry to hear this. I will pray for you as you pray for me. I too struggle with depression and anxiety. Don't give up. Jesus does love you and no matter how hellish THIS life gets HE is always good and he loves you and he says he will NEVER leave you nor forsake you. The Word says that MANY are the afflictions of the righteous BUT the LORD SHALL deliver them out of the ALL. Weeping may endure for a night BUT joy COMES in the morning...we just gotta receive it...but the devil...our enemy doesn't want us to receive it so we have to take it by force and release our FAITH by speaking the Word of God out of our mouths....when he was tempted of that ole liar satan the Lord Jesus Christ (God in flesh) himself said IT IS WRITTEN! He fought back. Fight for the weapons of our warfare are NOT carnal but might through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. Amen be encouraged.

Man. I’m still left without words. I came back here as soon as I heard the news of her passing. All of Mandisa’s songs were a part of my childhood. Especially this one. My sister has been singing this since she was 5. Just about a year ago she passed it down to our younger cousin who sings it in our children’s church band. Overcomer hits so different now. Rest easy, Mandisa. You have overcome the battle. You’re an overcomer. ❤

I never intended to find this song. I was listening to instrumentals on spotify and a song called overcome I don't even think it was this song, but anyway I looked up the song to add it to my playlist and this is the first one that popped up. I added it assuming it was the same song I couldn't wait to here it so I looked it up and found this video. It wasn't the same song I was looking for. What I am trying to say is I have been having a hard time hearing and feeling God recently. I have prayed for a moment and I believe I just had it. God put a song title of a song (a diferent song that happened to be the same title) in my head that stuck and even though it wasn't the right song I wanted but it was the song I needed. I broke into tears because this is what I have been going through. Everytime I saw the word OVERCOMER I cried even more because I realized that with God I have and will overcome many things.

I love this song. My best friend recommended it to me when I found out my mom has breast cancer. It lifts my spirits whenever I feel hopeless and just want to break down and cry. My mom started chemo and loosing her hair now and not it's all I can really listen to without crying. This song is truly inspiring. It makes me hopeful again because we're all overcomers.

I definitely need Jesus and Ill not let go, he will never forsake me. I have mitral valve prolapse, it causes most of my depression and anxiety at this moment in time, I feel so drained and tired half of the time. I just can't wait for the mitral valve repair just so I can feel better and actually be an overcomer.....This song means a lot. I love god. This song helped me when my husband of 11 years left me last year. I was very depressed during and after the separation, and I let myself go. I Decided to get up and be a healthier version for myself and my kids. Be someone my kids can be proud of . I'm in RN nursing program. I started the gym and so far lost 50lbs. I remember listening to this song on repeat at one of the lowest points in my life. It is very nostalgic returning to this song in 2022 it brings tears to my eyes. God is real, He is faithful, and He saved me. God’s truth spoke to me through Mandisa’s lyrics in this beautiful song.
