Anthony - just be transparent about why you are taking the photo - it could be for memory, it could be for a personal project, or it could be for giving it to a friend. If they are reluctant when you give your honest answer, then simply walk away.

How was your trip?
Thank you for this vid!!! The main thing about this is vid is "asking before the picture" which i think is important.. Does the feeling of being above or below "in stature" help take pictures? I know people won't say it open bcos our society doesnt approve that kinda thinking.. But do you think in the field it makes a difference? Cos everyone is afraid/nervous/ not sure while approaching a stranger ryt? just asking : )
I hope I can make pictures as good as that.
Great video! Anybody have any tips for data storage without a laptop? I will be traveling light and taking lots of pictures over 6 months

Do travel photogs need to have the people they photograph sign a model release form?
" Be honest " sould be the asnwer :D

I would like to point out that he only covered travel and didn't really talk about journalism?
I'm stuck between a D3s or 5D Mk3
If you ask for permission to take someone's photo and they ask you why, how do you answer?
Ask the subject for permission to take a picture of them.
"Hey Sunrise, can i take your picture?"
