- Jaylen Brown became a hero for the Boston Celtics after lots of ups and downs with the fans. Brown was the subject of tons of love and hate while he continued developing for Boston until he exploded this year and became the NBA Finals MVP for the NBA Champions. Can Darius Garland be that for the Cleveland Cavaliers? Garland was an All-Star in 2022 and got a massive $231 million extension with the Cavs for his efforts. However, Garland hasn't turned into the super star that his contract would have many hoping he would be. Is there hope that Garland can take a similar route to success that Brown had in Boston? This is a weird topic. Garland wants to be traded, he made the sacrifices hoping it would work out with Donovan. It hasn't. They are small. Instead of trying to figure out how retaining him, might somehow be a similar choce as Boston keeping a pair of maxed 6'7" wings is better than moving him, you need to go to the root of why Boston really won. Jrue Holiday and D White, with a small dose of Porzingas. Not Jalen and Jason. Without that 3-6 player pool Boston gets beat by the Pacers even without Tyrese.

Uh, no. I think he can be a nice player, but Brown and Tatum are big wings, Mitchell and DG are small guards. That's a huge difference, especially in the playoffs.

Honestly DG just needs to be himself his main problem is His Mentality he just needs to realize no matter if he’s going thru a bad stretch he’s still Darius garland. But that’s where I fault JB again because I feel like he never held players accountable or push them to find the best in themselves he was just fine with being a good regular season team he’s not a next level coach and I think that’s why this whole team suffered

It's kinda hard not to root for the guy...The comparisons are ridiculous though Jalen Brown.. LEBRON JAMES??...DG is due for a breakout year by my assessment of his game he'll be much better...the question is will he be a Cav??..he'd probably be better off with a fresh start somewhere else...

no matter what Garland numbers are, he sucks in the 4th qtr and playoffs.... cant believe it , 25% shooter in the 4th qtrs with a bag of stupid turnovers .. at least other players can play D...Garland is good on a bad team
