This is a video I made that is just for you to listen to. The song I used is the Perfect Dark Ending Credits Theme. It's from the game Perfect Dark. Enjoy.
@@SuperHornetA51 I'm hopeful but honestly worried cuz of how devs treat female protags nowadays as this in your face "I'm a stronk womaa!!!". It's like dude Joana was cool not cuz she was a woman but because she does cool things, just let her do cool things guys....
Amen. I like Perfect Dark more because I could get through without a walkthrough provided the scripting didn't break, there was a crosshair on the screen at all times, and the cutscenes man. Even 20 years after the fact, cramming that many into an N64 cartridge will forever impress me.
@@cfdeers Yes, it is impressive. Considering that the largest capacity for a N64 game was 64 megabytes! Those developers back then were really good at what they did to work with that storage limitation and yet make those games as good as they were.
I know exactly what you mean. When Goldeneye was new, I played the hell out of it and sometimes played it with a friend and we would take turns or play multiplayer. When Perfect Dark came out, me and my friends played the hell out of it even more then we ever did with Goldeneye. The co-op and multiplayer on Perfect Dark was just so good and fun and we had an awesome time with it. Those were definitely some of the best memories I have of my childhood. I think one reason why it was so great is that back then there was almost no such thing as online gaming for consoles, you had to use split screen. Split screen may seem outdated or obsolete and pretty much everyone plays games together over the internet now, but there's nothing like being right there with your friend(s) when your playing a game together.
usually the feeling of beginning a game you've never played before isn't very nice anyway. pure paranoia. "did i waste 20 quid i won't even like?" you'd just never know.
I remember back when I played this on my N64 it absolutely blew my little kid mind when I realized all the weapons had secondary modes, man I played this endlessly on the combat sim such a good game. I still occasionally play this on my Xbox one.
I still have a working N64. Last week my sister that is 17 now brought home for the first time a guy she's going out with. They were playing Diddy Kong Racing and needed my help with the setups, so i helped and sat there, watching a bit. Dude is cool, i don't mind, its good for her that she has someone to stay with. After they left the videogame i sat there and played a bit of DKR. Then i thought, why not some Perfect Dark? Played into the night that day and reached half of the game, finished it the other night, in Agent mode. All the nostalgia kicks, all the songs, this is for sure one of my most played games in my infancy. The game ended and here comes the credits rolling. After the credits there is this screen where the name PERFECT DARK keeps coming over and over and there is psychadelic lights and colors.. all while this song rocks behind over and over, indefinitely, it only ends if you turn off the console. I sat there in the dark, mesmerized, for what seemed like an hour in some kind of trance, filled with good memories. The game still holds up, time just made it more refined - and this is a beautiful masterpiece of a song to finish a beautiful masterpiece of a game.
I remember just sitting in an apartment with my parents while i was younger than 10 years old, sitting in the 2nd bedroom, at night, when things are quiet, with a bowl of twisty mac n' cheese in front of me, playing the for level, close to getting inside the virtual building, sitting on the carpeted floor, 2nd floor of the building. *Enjoying my childhood while i still could.*
I used to have this game for the 64! It was the greatest shit ever! It in my opinion rivaled 007 Goldeneye! But.....I lost the damn thing! *Cries* Thank you so much for putting up this song!! I LOVE IT!!!
I remember as a kid, I was always so annoyed that this song couldn’t be picked in Combat Simulator lol. You could pick Skedar Ruins and Skedar Ruins X - the theme that plays when the suspended animation army wakes up (which a lot of people confuse for this song), but not the actual final boss theme. Which is still a shame because it’s excellent!
Not sure if it's been said before but that slow charging up sound is the same sound from Grunty's really powerful spell in Banjo-Kazooie that you have to block with golden feathers.
It's too bad that almost no one has ever heard of this game. It was an awesome game and showed what the Nintendo 64 was capable of. Me and my friends played the hell out of it and had a lot of great times with it.
Cara essa música é perfeita! você consegue sentir a vibe espiã do jogo como também a vibe alienígena que o jogo tem, a rareware fazia até AS MUSICAS AMBIENTAREM O JOGO! grande rareware! saudades!
the frustrating thing about this song is that it makes me want to play perfect dark again, and the thing is i still have my Nintendo 64 but i lost perfect dark a couple of years ago.
waited so long that there will be a new release, and dude they have!! they gonna make it multiplayer better graphics!!! its like this masterpiece but even BETTER!!!
@EricIndecisive I feel the same way. This was my favorite game of all time. Its too bad Rare is not the same as it used to be. The whole soundtrack give me chills.
if perfect dark was online. just imagine how incredible that would have been. one of the best fps ever. this was the benchmark for all the new shooter games.
I wonder where the Goodnight, Miss Dark sample at the end came from, if you actually watch the entire credits sequence that sample never plays. Does it only exist on the official sound track version or something? Or is it that the game loops the song easily but if you play the whole thing you hear the sample.
facts bro the fuckin phoenix qith the explosive shell was crazy af shotty was a beast secretly too it had the secondary double shot shit was funny af watching running fast af blowing heads off....Laptop gun and Mauler was a beast too.....hearing this shit will make you cry think of the old times and how it use to be jus from playing this game
In an alternate timeline where Perfect Dark stayed popular, this would be the theme used for when Joanna got into Smash.
Well, PD is coming back, but not for smash

@@MrLinkkid That's not something Microsoft does. I'm sure she'll be just like classic Joanna.
@@SuperHornetA51 that's something practically every company does. Expect it. But hope for the best.
Joanna belong to Killer Instinct
This is one of those RARE video games where the ending music actually makes you feel like you accomplished something awesome.
Lo que haz logrado es conocer la verdad
It’s going to reach the Nintendo Hall of Fame as _unbeatable_ on its highest difficulty rating.
This will be affirmed and stamped.
Goldeneye was a great game, but Perfect Dark occupies the highest pillar in my nostalgia museum.
Best guns, best songs, better story, even using golden eyes maps in multiplayer. Perfect dark was just better then 007
Amen.

That is normal, after all perfect dark is it’s spiritual successor
Congratulations, you've finished the game, you'll never going to experience it for the first time ever again;___;
Blz Ahz Ikr ;-;
Its 2020 and they just announced the new one let’s hope for it
Bro do the credits ever fucking end 🥲just beat it again ages later and here I am with the credits again
Until you realize you now have to do it on Perfect Agent difficulty

holy crap, this game's theme is one of the best ever, video game or not
Good Night Miss Dark

Dual - wielding Phoenix pistols in the secondary explosive mode in the combat sim was amazing.
Same!
Damn, big facts
Me too.
If you haven't played it yet, someone created a PC port that supports full mouse and keyboard controls, 100% recommend.

Holy damn, 10 years later and I’m just now realizing this is just a remix of the Carrington Institute Theme.

What a underrated game. It blow my mind in the early 2000 's
Just completed this game on Perfect Agent. I feel so proud. LIKE! ADD TO MY FAVORITES! THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING!
Bro! All respects for you, mate.
But yes this game is hella rad
The duel against Trent Easton was always tough. That Gold DY357 Magnum is just like the Farsight XR20. It can take you out when you least expect it.
On all my custom simulators, I threw this song on it. Was my favorite song in the game. Perfect Dark N64 took FPS games to the next level! Respect.
This song was always part of my multiplayer custom soundtrack. Loved fighting DarkSims in the Villa to this song!
dude perfect dark was a badass game back in the day i tell ya what had some fun with that shit!
Perfect Dark is an immortal franchise, a classic that everybody cannot forget.
Welcome back old friend.
Way to end the 90's, Rare

"Perfect Dark is forever"
After all these years I only just realized last night that this is basically a great remix of the Goldeneye pause music ❤️
Bloody magnificent. Best video game of all time.
A game my grandma loved to death and showed me as a child. Now all I can think of when I listen to or play it is her. I miss her so much
I love this game and I still play it on my N64 good times

All Rare games have epic sountracks!
This game blew my mind back in the day. I consider it much better than goldeneye
LOL, wow, what an appropriate name :-)
needs to be remade

Hey there brony! :P
The golden era of Console Games!
So it's a remix of Carrington Institute.
Yeah that';s why they are still making them.
Don't worry, PD64 is coming out on Xbox Arcade this winter. Rejoice! :D

That one rising sound effect, just think of Jinjonator.
RARE games used to have the best music.. Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Killer Instinct, Donkey Kong Country.. the list goes on..
if perfect dark was online. just imagine how incredible that would have been. one of the best fps ever. this was the benchmark for all the new shooter games.
same here
This game so rocked way before its time. Wish someone put time into remastering the orgional with better graphics. Love this song btw!
Cant wait till Xbox Arcade gets this classic
Since MS finally made KI, we should push them to make a remake of Perfect dark.

It was remade.
On the Xbox 360 Live arcade ^_^
It's all about the K7 Avenger
Perfect Dark is like star trek the next gen, in many ways its Superior but its not as remembered
but its still one of the best games ever.
i agree with the nerd dude, lucifer; this brings back alot of memories. remember kicking my brothers ass on the warehouse level lol
Back when you could buy a full game in one shot not just half of one and then 30 pieces of dlc
love this song :D makes me regret selling my N64...
I've just uploaded a remake of Perfect Dark's "credits theme" to my channel. Come check it out. I think you'll enjoy this.
this song made me dig through my closet for about an hour, and play PD for 20 hours more.
