Fuck me. How is Jack not a household name? Such a beautiful player. The millions of notes a second really does nothing for me....but THIS......this is what draws me to the instrument and to Jack as a guitarist. Bravo, maestro! Oh....and get well soon, mate.
How do you know when a Guitarist speaks to your heart ? If you instantly drops everything and grabs your guitar and jam along ❤️😁 Much love from Denmark
@@JackGardiner my friend please do this I already cried listening to this beautiful song I still don't have the dexterity to play the same but I want the backing track to try to play something close to it, a big hug
I can just feel in your playing that you’re totally connected to that guitar. It’s become an extension of you. That’s awesome Jack, you deserve it. Thanks for bringing your musical joy to this world along with Owane. ❤
Music and literature are things that take people on a journey through the mental world, and Jack's performance is a real one that guides us to amazing places that we ve never been on
i know you just had your kid a couple months ago and i’m so happy for you man. I appreciate you took the time to make this lesson you’re literally the god of fusion. ❤️
Love this kind of videos! Explaining chord construction and applying it!💙🎸 We can know all the music theory in the world but if we don’t know how to apply it it’s nothing!
One of my favorite chords stems from my ambient playing, but if you don't arpeggiate and actually modulate the highest note to a fret lower and then back up to the original it also works really well in a hard rock or metal progression as a spice. The chord is you barre the 7th fret strings A and up, you play that root E on the 7th fret A string, then the 5 on the next string (9th fret), then you play the diminished 7 back on that 7th fret on the G string. Now ontop of that you play a G 5, so the 8th and 10th frets of the B and high E strings. If you arpeggiate that with some reverb it sounds lustrous, and as I said if you modulate that 10th fret down to the 9th and back up it makes for a very spicy interval (cause it's the #4 of G then).
Jack, your lines are so soulful in this mate! I’ve been sat here for an hour working out the first minute and a half and I’m loving ever second of it. If this is an actual improvisation then you are indeed a master of your craft! Keep bringing joy to people mate. All the best.
LOVE THIS im a new subscriber struggling to not hit foul, off and stupid notes while in noodle mode i just started clonadine to quell the adhd i used to only be able to learn by watching player perspective videos . ive learned such peices as diary of a madman and black water by the doobies i spent my whole life stuck in judas priest and iron maiden songs . I apreciate your channel . its all coming together . INTERVALS RULE :)
You, sir, are a fantastic musician. Your playing is sublime. So are the tones you get! May I ask what are the specific pickups you used to make this video? Best regards.
For the tone in fusion, is there distortion or just clean tones? This is just beautiful playing and just the right style for me to serious in. Thank you Jack for these amazing lessons and tips
sounds amazing! I can’t find your guitar on the Ibanez site. Your links go to a black AZ with a front rout. Would like to find the rear rout with flame and with the strat style bridge and super strat pickup config like you have…
Love these chords and have used them meself. Thanks for the reminder! Question for Jack: Beautiful custom Ibanez. What pickup models are in this guitar? Sounds quite lovely!
dude, try my favorite chord in 2 variations: AEG#C#F#E(tab 576670); AG#C#F#B(tab-06677). I thing them both are good as a root after, may be, some chord like this one: EEG#DF(tab 07676-).
Hey Jack, I've bought two of your courses. Fretboard Visualization and Theory. When are you going to have additional courses like how to implement that stuff, like how to improvise, or a good blues course. I know there are tons of them , but I like your style of explaining stuff
Any hints on how to get that awesome lead tone? That sweet singing sustain with clean, poppy attack - Low volume distortion through a clean amp? I have no idea ...

As an intermediate player, should I learn jazz before jumping into Modern/Rock fusion or is it ok to directly jump into Modern/Rock fusion?
is there a way to just buy this backing track?
Who is your idol as a guitarist ? 🙂
I love you blonde guitar jesus
I love potatoes too 💙

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That is like the most fitting description for Jack 😅

CmajorAdd9 is one of my favorite chords to play and also add the Dmajor with it
I've literally looped this song over and over. It's just that good. Takes me to another place.
Brilliant Jack, brilliant!
I've lost count of how many times I've watched this. Everything is perfect from the tone to the feel. Wow.

He sounds like him a lot like him i.e Guthrie with Steven Wilson 🥺

Just beautiful playing.. But the tone is so sharp... Wished it to be warmer...
"Sounding sick," Can confirm.
This is what I wished Joe Satriani still did. I could listen to this on repeat for hours.
Really is a beautiful chord. Great tone and playing man!
Are these licks you’ve practiced and compiled before playing or is this purely improv? Regardless, amazing.
Improv over the selected chords, his most beautiful chords.
Do a tutorial on those pentatonic smears bagadadadagagdagda
I wouldn’t be surprised if Guthrie was your brother!!
