thanks so much for the great recipe, and the health info! I followed your tips for sauce and used tomatoes we grew ourselves- loved the result! thanks again! :)
This is a wonderful video. Some people skip steps that beginners wouldn't know about. I tried this (but more with Ragu) and made a wonderful sauce. Thank you !
I'm saving this to my favorites. Making your own tomato sauce is so much healthier for you. The canned stuff is loaded with far too much sodium. I use tomato sauce often. Thank you for this recipe.
I just did about the same amount of tomatoes but I sauced them in my Omega Vert, which is a juicer. It came with a saucing screen. It took me maybe 15 minutes to wash, cut and strain all the tomatoes. There is a cheaper thing you can get called on Victorio Strainer that is under $50. I had one years ago and it worked great. Kind of regret getting rid of it. Hope that helps.
I have many large bags of already cut roma tomato from a wedding that i do not want to go to waste. I already made a lot of salsa, and now want to try marinara but would the sauce be ok if they had the skins still on them? they are too small to try to get the skin off
Are you from new "joisey"? Thanks for the video. My family cooks tomatoe sauce every week, but we buy canned diced tomatoes and a bit of the tomatoes from our garden, but It is better to cook all fresh.
yeah...we need those immune fighters...sing it with me!!! Everybody was kung-fu Fighteng...only some will appreciate the song but all will appreciate the sauce.
...there is an easier way that you don't have to squesh them like that...you cut them in half and you use your finger and remove the seeds! and then put the seedless tomatos in a blender or (magicbullet) and vola..now you can just boil them...and time will be cut and its more cleaner!
Your video is amazing! Making pastas, lasagnas etc are one of my all time favorites. I've always wanted to make my own tomato sauce and I am glad I found yours! Thanks again =D Please visit my channel, rate and subscribe!

Keep those seeds and use them for next year and plant a couple in the backyard, thats if you have one!!!
Lots of work but i guess it helps if you make in bundles.
Bunthan Kong Healthy and fresh is always more work but worth the effort :)

Tomato seeds and skins are not at all noticeable. Simply blend farm stand raw tomatoes in a blender and freeze. It's that simple.
No ice bath??

If Italians call it gravy, then what do they call gravy?
