I still wear my old vest that my Dad gave me over 30 years ago. All my rifles are over 30 years old. I guess since I'm antique that I should hunt with antiques. We still work well.
I fill a 32 oz gatorade bottle with the hottest water i can handle. I put it right by my body where i can absorb the heat. By the time i need a drink it’s cooled off enough to drink.
Be out there too. Good Luck to all!!! Since I dont trek around much anymore, I bring a small coffee, &pbj (done that since I was a youngster) breakfast of champs, lol again, good luck everyone!
I'm sure that y'all will have some good luck, on your 1st day of Deer hunting. Can't wait to see your video of that hunt. Besides an Orange vest with pockets, I also bring a small backpack, to bring my drinks, plastic bottle type or thermos with coffee in it and some lunch or snacks. I believe that You and Joe will get a Deer quicker, than you might get a Black Bear. Stay safe
Looks like you got your bases covered. I wish you and Joe the best of luck tomorrow. I will head deep into KI tomorrow to try my luck as well. Good luck, God Bless, and Good Hunting! Maine North Woods Hunter (Shane)
I take four or five of those 3.4 oz BPA free bottles. Empty each one as I get thirsty and don't hear the water sloshing in my pack like from a normal water bottle. Easier to pack as they are small.
I see fresh tenderloin with crispy hash browns and sauteed onions in your near future. Best meal ever. Good luck lady you deserve it. That 6.5 is a great hunting round.
Also Johnson woolen mills in Johnson vt makes a woman’s spruce green wool hunting pant unfortunately doesn’t have the cargo pockets but I would think you would be able to call and talk to them and see if they can sew a couple on for you they make the clothes there and the mens pants have the cargo pockets so they might be able to help
On your headlamp, try a red light if you still hunt or get into a stand in the dark. I've spooked Deer and Moose with that light like you have. With the red light, they stand there like dumbasses. I actually had a Moose walk almost right up to me last year just trying to figure out what the light was. It seems to keep them calmer as well. LOL, it would not be the first time i got chased through the woods by Moose.
One other thing ,,as for the green wool pants . Sure you may hv checked already , but did you look at Johnson Woolen Mill ?? I've had the men's , green and also the red/black checkered ( coat and pants) ,since I was 15 ,, 57 now ,,, not sure if they carry women's 🤔 Swear by them in cold weather !!
@@MaineGirlOutdoors I put a Boyd’s laminated wood stock on it, nutmeg color in the prairie Hunter style, with acorn and leaves checkering put on with a laser, it really ramped up the appearance of my rifle ! Boyd’s makes some beautiful gun stocks for just about any rifle or shotgun.
Hey! What do you think about making/ possibly marketing a pair of pants geared toward women hunters? You would know better than anyone what is needed…barring that you have a exact what you need.
I'd at least add electrical tape and a half a roll of TP. With them together you can do alot of stuff that is needed in the field. The tape you can cover your muzzle to keep water and debris out. Attach licence to antlers, and make a large bandage with the tp. TP you can also use it for if you get a bloody nose or sniffles and the other obvious reasons. I hunt aways from home generally, so im carrying a decent amount of stuff when i do. Short close to home not so much. You obviously dont need to carry that much. Though the basics will always be the same.
One thing I'd add to my med kit if I were you ,,,,, a small tube of super glue . If you get a cut that won't stop bleeding It'll do the trick . It's what it was originally developed for . Our troops on the battlefield ..... just a thought .. Best of luck this season . Missed a chance at a nice buck this past Saturday,,,muzzleloader here in NH .....
Ha ha ha ,,danni down here in North Carolina,,we take several bottles of frozen water with us hunting,,if we are lucky ,,it won’t get hot before we drink it ,,if we are real lucky , we use it to wash the blood off our hands.

we still have two weeks to go here in missouri, good luck
Good luck! Gotta work tomorrow but hoping to slide into the woods for the last couple of hours.
I use leather wine bota's for water. You can sling them over your shoulder and they lay flat on your side. I also use a backpack for my gear.
Good luck, Danni! 💫

That Jet Sled behind you works really well getting them out as you know. Sliding one in a sled
Is a lot easier than dragging even on dry ground.
YES! We pulled my last deer out with it. It has been on the back of my truck in hopes of using it for a bear....❤
Good luck tomorrah! Hopefully that lifter tick don’t scare the deer.. Hehe. I’m joking man, come on…🤣🤡👍
