I was also stranded in Siargao during the typhoon. I thought that was the end of me. I saw the 3rd floor of the hotel we are staying in torn by winds. The restaurant of our hotel was non-existent already. I was lucky to get on a rescue flight out to Manila via PAL last Sunday. But I feel bad for those who were left behind trying to rebuild their homes and livelihood. Let us help them as much as we can, not just in Siargao but all typhoon affected areas.
