When we did our first DCL cruise on the Dream, my daughter was pixie dusted twice. We did not have a fish extender (or a FB group), but had our stateroom door decorated with magnets (which indicated we had a mom, dad, and girl in our room and that it was our first cruise).
My family and I have a trip booked on the treasure next June can’t wait. It will be almost 20 years since our last cruise. The last one I was on I was 7 years old on the Disney wonder. 🚢
Something I want to mention, you CANNOT bring extension cords of any kind on the Disney Wish. You all had recommended one on another video which I purchased and it was confiscated. The list Disney provides does say you can’t bring any at all, and I guess they mean it (even if it’s “rated” for a cruise ship)
You could always pixie dust your own family (or friends if you have friends on the cruise) instead of being part of any group exchanges. Give your kids a surprise each day.
I love that idea. We did that on our first trip. We surprised the kids with a day a Disney and a cruise and the Universal and before each leg of the adventure we gave them a clue/gift.
🚢 Aloha Family! To clarify, you don’t need to be a part of any group to participate with Pixie Dusting. It’s about giving gifts randomly without expecting anything in return. We always take a bunch of small goodie bags with some snacks or small gifts and give them out or place them in fish extenders randomly. As much as we love to give, it’s also fun to receive pixie dust at our door. 🤗
Not sure if you will see this question but here goes! I am a grandma and have booked the Fantasy for May 2026. Taking my 2 granddaughters (cousins not sisters) who will both be 7. Can they go together on the Aquaduck? I realize there may be a height restriction. If they are a bit hesitant can I take them one at a time and leave one waiting at the beginning etc? Just trying to sort out how I can manage as its just the three of us so no other adult to help out!
You guys hit every point me and my family went through. We went on the Wish for 3 days and 3 days at Disney World however we would next time either do at least 4-5 days DW. I also agree 3 days felt too short and cramped and we did not get to experience all the food options or the entire ship. It was Go Go Go time. I think 5-6 days would be ideal. As for the elevators this did not bother us to much. You still have to walk around the ship we utilized the stairs a lot. I did not like the buffet to much how only a plate is provided at a time vs serving yourself also the Room Service menu felt shorter than the Dream Ship. Disney Transportation Yes and No, no real complaints but yes it was expensive the service was amazing.

It will be a short trip but it fit well with our work schedules and child care options so we are going to enjoy the time we have. Our family is also booked on the Treasure next year!
We did a 4 night on the Magic, our first time sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale. We arrived in Orlando and that night went to Disney Springs, next day went to the parks, then got up early and took the Brightline. I highly recommend that, but I know with families the train can get expensive. A 4 night on the Dream was our first cruise and we did the parks after, took Disney transport, but I don’t think I could do anything less. Even 4 night goes by too fast and we fly in from Alabama and I have to have a pre/post cruise something planned to make it worth the flight. I’m nervous to pay the money for the Wish bc it only does those short sailings and I know I’d have major fomo!

We did fish extenders on our first Disney cruise and it truly made the trip extra magical for our 8 year old. Its a lot to manage, but I absolutely loved it. That said we were on a 7 day cruise so we had plenty of time.
So we are leaving Thursday for our first cruise on the Wish with our 6 year old and 15 month old daughters for our 10th wedding anniversary and my husband has now told me that I have used your videos as my cruise guide. He says he always hears you all in the background as I am doing stuff for the trip. He just comes and asks what did Justin and Lacy say do? I get a good laugh from it so thank you for the advice.

Problem i see with magic bands on the dcl is...i have a watch and relief band on my wrist. So no space for the magic band too.
Is the MCO Hyatt transport bus you all took to Wish what you book through Disney or was it a separate company?

Seabands and don’t hurt to ask if you can get a rx prescription for zofran. This is what worked for me… ginger chews didn’t work for me.
