Both the CN301 and CA401 feature authentic keyboard actions, however the CA401, with its Grand Feel Compact wooden key keyboard action provides the more grand piano-like playing experience. The CN301 offers a broader range of sounds, as well as additional features such as USB audio recording and Line In/Out connectors. For a side-by-side comparison of these two models, please refer to the following URL: www.kawai-global.com/product_comparison/detail.php?n=cn301,ca401&ct=36
We hope this helps - good like with your decision making!

Hello, thank you for your comment.
While the CA401 does not have dedicated Line Out connectors, it is still possible to capture a high quality recording of the piano from one of the instrument's headphone connectors. We recommend using an external audio recorder, although recording directly into a DAW is also possible.
Note that when one of the headphone connectors is used, the instrument's built-in speakers will be muted. Therefore, it will be necessary to connect either a pair of headphones or an external speaker to the other headphone connector, in order to listen to the instrument as it is being played and recorded.
For more information about how to record audio from a Kawai digital piano, please refer to the following FAQ article:
