Rowan, you could have a few ziplock sandwich bags (or even quart bags) and add the lettuce and strawberries you didn't eat to the empty spots of the cooler. Storing some wouldn't take up much room at all and could help with some leftovers. I love watching your videos!
Zip lock freezer bags w/slide top, quart and gallon sizes, are miraculous space savers and keep fresh produce vital longer. Just individually wrap items in papertowels in put in ziploc, squeezing as much air out of bag as possible. With greens, just line inside of a gallon bag with papertowels and put greens in. x Wendy

Little tip about storing the container of lettuce and olives.. because the containers take up a lot of space in your cooler.. get a gallon size ziplock bag and dump the salad and olives in it together take out all the air and it should fit in your cooler.. My husband is a long haul truck driver and I go with him on the road! I put all fresh fruits and vegetables in mason jars and put down in a cooler with ice! I put a paper towel in the bottom of the jar to help with moisture for the things that need it! I put what doesn’t fit in the cooler in freezer bags to help with space and put those in the VERY small fridge that we also have!
Ziplock bags can work in your cooler . They will conform to the spaces in the cooler . Your Ruby -kins was so cute at the shore . Careful at the dog parks that a male dog doesn’t take “ liberties with Ruby . Travel safe . ❤️

The gas prices have been in the mid $3 range so far! For earning money while traveling I’ve had great luck with doordashing and Uber eats- you can do them from most cities and towns!

Just found your channel and I'm binge watching everything!!! You have done an amazing job on your van. Mine is almost done and getting ready to hit the road in July. One suggestion for the food storage in your cooler - get some gallon ziplock bags and put some of the food that is in those bulkier containers (like your greens and strawberries). It will lay flatter and give you a smidge more room - might help!!! Again, amazing videos and I so look forward to watching your journey!!!!

Great video! Ruby is the best companion you can have because van life can be lonely with Al those moving around. Also you might want to transfer that salad to a ziplock bag and get rid of those bulky plastic containers, it would fit easily in the fridge. Couldn’t wait for the next video. Your home is so cozy

Like many other followers I love the positive vibe you give! The peaceful way you live in your van is so inspiring!!! I have a promaster I have set up and have been excited to travel. I've sold my house and have an rv I live in on my parents place. But they can't understand the simplicity of vanlife. They are a huge stumbling block for me!😭 I grew up with pressures of job, house, put away retirement money all must does! I raised my 2 girls on my own and my soul is screaming inside. I have a hard time with just getting away!!! Also if you read this far, how about ziplock bags for your extra berries and salad? It can fit around the available areas😊

Might I suggest you get a butter crock stays on counter and eggs do NOT require refrigeration. Swap your large containers to strong/reusable bags which will fit everything. You can even get a spout for juice/milk for bags that screw on making more space.
love that you're buying so much fruit & veggies!! I'm on vacation and the hotel that I'm in is a Ways from groceries. So gonna have to get an uber or lyft just to get those fruits and veggies! I'm type 2 diabetic so gotta have it! If you ever get a chance, get you a bag of those small packets of Ocean Spray dry cranberries they are delicious! Thanks for the vid! 👍😉💜🙏🚐

Rowan is one of the reasons why I am seriously considering living out of my vehicle. No rent. No utilities. No mortgage. No real estate taxes, etc. Plus, I can sleep close to my favorite beach and watch the sunrise and sunsets that I don’t have time to get to living in my house. Even if its just temporary, I want to see if I could do it and just experience it❤

Nothing nicer than a warm terry cloth washcloth on your face! It feels like when you felt overseas. You get a warm cloth to wipe your face! Bliss.

You could put salad in a ziplock and make it fit , and same for olives. Strawberroes would get squished
