It would've drastically altered the cast of Seven. Gwyneth Paltrow wouldn't have been David Mills' wife and probably would've gone with someone else than Morgan Freeman for Somerset.

@@joemckim1183Yeah it was originally supposed to be Denzel in Pitt’s role, Christina Applegate in Paltrow’s role, Pacino in Freeman’s role, and Val Kilmer in Spacey’s role. Personally I would have loved Denzel and Al Pacino but they need to keep Spacey or get a more maniacal looking actor than Kilmer like Gary Oldman instead. And Applegate isn’t that great of an actress so I would have cast Nicole Kidman who I always wanted to see work with Denzel especially when they kissed in the Oscars which was hilarious. But alternate cast would be:
David Mills: Denzel Washington
Detective Somerset: Al Pacino
Tracy Mills: Nicole Kidman
John Doe: Gary Oldman

He is the sweetest man and I'm glad he passed on Seven. He's a golden spirit and that movies was too dark for him..I wish I had never seen that movie and I'm glad I don't associate that dark story with Denzel and his goodness.
Althought it would've probably been the only movie of his to stand the test of time. Maybe Training Day (still holds up, kind of).

..things do happen for a great reason, especially in the movie world, ..beverly hills cops was first offered to stallone.. eddie owned that role clearly.. nic cage was set to star in the wrestler, mickey rouke owned that role ! ..leonardo dicaprio was offered to be dirk diggler in boogie nights, but choose titanic.. mark wahlberg shouldv'e gotten an oscar for boggie nights !..
To be honest I would give anything for Denzel to have played Se7en with Al Pacino instead of Morgan Freeman as Somerset. And then have Brad Pitt get the Natural Born Killers role. Because I feel like they would have been better for those roles anyways.

Flight is a rather depressive Movie. I watched it and did like it but it is not for everyone… Just a friendly heads up if you never watched it (be in the right kind of mood!). "2Guns" sounds good on paper but was one of the weakest Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg movies I've seen. Maybe the weakest. Just a bland action Movie. I expect more from both actors at this point!
